I was helping a nin friend of mine kill Briareus for his Kannagi, was our first time trying it. And we died, a group came over just grabbed him. Up till this point its understandable. However when we asked them to give the Helm of Briareus to him they simply said "I'm sorry /no drop"......... For an item thats 100% drop. One thing would be that we just gave up or couldn't beat the monster, which wasnt the case. Snatching it right when it goes yellow and stealing all the drops. I dont do that sh*t to other people, and I dont expect it to be done to me or those around me. So if you see these guys walking around be careful because they wont think twice about @#%^ing you over.

It doesn't really seem like they did anything wrong...except lie about the drop because they were greedy and wanted to keep it. Unless I'm misunderstanding, your group popped it and you wiped...then they claimed it, killed it and kept the loot. Popped Abyssea NM's despawn extremely quickly as I'm sure you know, which is why the general viewpoint of the community is that it's fine to claim someone else's NM after they wipe. You even said yourself that you understand it's fine for them to claim it. You just seem mad they weren't willing to share any items...which of course they're not obligated to. It sucks and I feel for you, but there are much worse people on our server than this group you bumped into.

I've got someone you can add to your list, Kizen. He was invited to a Rani pop tonight and when everyone else passed the Epona's Ring he kept making excuses why he wasn't passing. "Gimme a sec I'm warping people", etc. After 2 minutes or so when the item was close to falling to someone he tried to ninja lot...a high lot too, but I was paranoid and figured he was going to try something so the leader of that party kicked and I set quartermaster. Then humorously he tried to defend himself saying "Why would a BLM want to steal the ring?" (He came as BLM), as if this is 2005 when people only have one job at cap...

Yes Kizen, biggest f-ing tool on Sylph. Nearly every person I know, myself included, has been screwed over in one way or another by this guy. The worst part is that he's proud of it and often trolls it up in shouts in port jeuno. Highly recommend to others to stay away from him.

Pwrless and pwrlessgirl, ugh I would murder these two irl, I /tell pwrless hey I'm gonna give you lead while I afk pls don't kick, literally right after his duo box says to kick me, lol I ran this pt for hours and trusted this @#%^ nugget for two seconds and he kicks me... Out of a pt I started and ran for HOURS AND HOURS.. I came back and jut said alright I'm back please pass leader then he wants to get an attitude like he deserves to be leader because I had to afk for a second, "you were Gone for like an hour " lol when really I was gone like ten minutes bandaging up my daughters knee

Just to defend Pwrless and pwrlessgirl they are very good people, and have helped me several times. There is a problem with people leeching in Aby and there must have just been a misunderstanding. I don't think it is anything to really go after someone over.
