What *hasn't* he done to be legendary? I heard he soloed Tiamat solely with Dia II all the while keeping claim on Xolotl. He started the "Stripper Cowboy" craze rocking his summer top and aqueducts panties in Whitegate. He crafted 3 HQ Dalmies in a row. Below cap! Bubbly Bernie runs and hides from him. He doesn't spam Whitegate with shouts other than "{Errant Cape} 900k {Do you need it?}" *cough*. Children love him, and the reason there are pixies in the past is because he poops them out.

What would be the most recognizable names in the history of Sylph? Two names I can think of:

Crazypluto
Alicevirgin

Most of the legends are still playing.
I'd consider Crazy a real legandary nutcase!

What makes one legendary?

Do you have to screw people over?
Be self centered?
Ego the size of an entire zone?

the KXT clan!

This is kinda like the prominent whitelist/blacklist threads of old, and destined to derail. Dayrecka brings up a good point. You can have a good/bad reputation and still be considered legendary. I tried to think of some names to add, but mostly what comes to mind are the ppl that cheated, stole or pissed ppl off, mostly. So, I'll add a bad one and a good one.

So, to bring back some more memories from back in the day....Denbigh. I didn't know him personally until he started hiding on a mule, Torth. He must've really made some ppl mad >.< He pulled some stuff in my ls as well. Live and learn /sigh

To end on a better note, a good friend I made ig that I believe was a friend of everyone....Zisa. Maybe not legendary, but a great person nonetheless. He was the 1st person to join our ls when it was created. I talked to him up until the minute of his final logout. He's the type of guy who gave tarutarus a good name.

Indeed, by legendary I mean players whom almost everyone knows about. It is true many of these are famous for their misconducts, but if everyone knows about it, then its legendary.

I agree that the KXT and SYL clans could be considered legendary too, just because they were the first prominent RMT clans in our server, which everyone knew about while they were still around.





Have you noticed? Our server forum has become a cold, dark and dead place ever since the blacklist thread and similar threads are locked. There really is not many exciting things to talk about after that. The admins have killed their own forum.

Most Legendary: Maaa

There was no full story, people could come defend themselves sure, but it always turned out the same= One person's word vs. another person's word. Then they'd have their friends come defend them, like that's proof, yeah sure. Then it became @#%^ you, @#%^ you, I keeel you, I keel you man!
That was the Blacklist part.
The whitelist was just a failure because it was supposed to be about people who went out of their way to help others, but became "Oh this kid is (insert teenie-bopper adjective), he cwazy!

so yes it had to end.

Now all we get in this server forum are the "who gives a sh*t" {I'm coming back!} or {Hey remember me?!} threads. Hoo-rah

I think if you have a problem with somebody the answer is not to try an give them a bad name by saying things about them or sending them tells of harrasment.
Let thier actions make a name for them, that will be enough.

I will add Satanx to the list of Legendary or as I call him "Lord Satanx".
This guy is ledendary to me because for all the time Ive been here he has tried to always keep his friends close. He has been betrayed by some and still he lives on in Vana diel. He has helped me and stuck by me even when others would have nothing to do with me. I have left and come back a few times now and each time I return we find each other. Satanx is a friend and that makes him legendary.

Yea, well until he gets me a signed Apollo's Staff to replace my non-signed one he's not!

Hehe, I was thinking about Kojiami actually, but I dared not speak of it.

Shenlong is a Legend, playing since 2005 and still cannot reach 75 on any job woot !!! hell yeah baby i rock lol(currently 69BLM) + other characters ^^;

I would like to consider griffiss as a legendary person. As i was wow'd from the first drg burn pty i was in and how he did/and does play dragoon.

Think its a great thread and Webster says;

"so celebrated as to having taken on the nature of a legend"

I think that means not good or bad exploits we remember. Most of us have things that we remember above it all from people or groups, I would add in the groups to the topic there has been some legendary linkshells.

I will never forget the help i got early on from the GalkaFist, what a wild bunch of guys who where ... yes they where all galkas. (nor that sex ls.. now that was legendary)

Individuals are so hard, but names that have been here all the years I been around would have to included Tekki, from the days in the guilds where he worked until now with in game, same with Farl ... now gone but master of the world in his day, even names of people like Guardianzero who been around for years in the backround and been legendary in there help with many in the game

I wont remember FFXI for the good or the bad, just the legendary tales we have had online in Vana'diel. It is all an adventure that we where are part of and help make some no matter what you might think, you where there and you where part of the story too.

Rave LS, due to the amount of time, money, and levels they cost RMT. It was hard to find gil for sale on the sylph server while they were around

So many of those names i recognised, Some i played with in occasional parties, others i see with gear.

I like to examine the hawt people just to see what I will aim for. Probably one big reason why i love FFXI each time you get a top item its like YAY.

Dont think there will be any 1 person who is the ledge. But there will be a group of players.

Anyone remember that MNK RMT Chest...? Seems like he should be mentioned. And I totally second Fasl, for the skynet and all that, I owe a lot to Kat and Avi(Btw this is Godsmack!)
