Just started the game here on Sylph with a friend who's playing a WHM. Within a few minutes someone had given me a linkshell, taught me to play, and hooked me up with 20k gil (which I'm saving... don't want things too be too easy, though I did buy a bronze axe). Seems like a nice place; look forward to getting to know you guys.

Thanks all. Things are going well so far, I hit 13 last night, thanks to picking up an Empress Ring (wish there was some way to exploit that system :)). Having fun, though I wish that the level distribution was different. Half the players on are 70-75, 75% are 50-75, and of those below 50, I'm sure a majority have a top-level job already. Factor in the fact that this is free-sample time thanks to Square, and you have the most top-heavy MMORPG ever :P
