Wow did everyone check out the stuff in todays update?!?

BLMs using Scythes! <scared>
PLDs raising at lvl 50 and short Cover recast! <yahoo!>

Happy Fun Bard stuff (^^) :
*The area of effect for bard "etudes" has been changed to "single party member." Also, the casting time of these songs has been substantially reduced.

*The casting time of the bard song "Goddess's Hymnus" has been reduced.

New Areas!!! <dances>
Mobs that can SEE THROUGH Sneak/Invis! <Oh No!!>
More EXP for high lvl PTs! <Sounds good to me!>

Meh, am I the only one kinda worried about a bunch of physically weak and frail black MAGES trying to dive into the front lines with weak-scythes trying to use them now? :/

Black mages are fearful, and powerful in their own right...but scythe-weilding? Come on now. If you wanted to do that, you shoulda been a Darknight, not a Black MAGE. I have a sneaking feeling these scythes won't have INT or MP bonuses (or only a few do, but even so staffs and such will likely be better), and Black Mages aren't going to ever be able to do any serious damage with these things. If you're just shooting for looks, sure, it'll look awesome...but I'm real concerned this will start a huge wave of fragile mages trying to melee and being worried about TP to do their new weapon skill... :(

In essenence, I believe any Black Mage that uses a scythe and melees with it trying to do weaponskills has effectively nerfed him/herself. ("Can't rest for MP, I'll lose my tp!") I can see it now... /cry

(Maybe I'm just speculating, but I am still worried about it. Lets say White Mages got some neat new weaponskill, and I bet people would be freaking out about meleeing white mages, now wouldn't they?)

Now me, I like the idea of BLMs with scythes. Not so much for regualr use, cause I'm guessing nothing's gonna top the +INT gains from wands.

But just think... those little taru-warus at foot level, with a small slicer... I can hear it now "Give me your toesie-wosies!"

How's that for inspiring fear into an enemy :D

SE should make a spell that can make players floating around.

ok i think i found a new area. in the maze of shakamri near the rockwell instread of turning right go straight. there is a zone that isnt linked to anything yet

^^ yay blm scythe. ya i know it sounds crazy and if you do get a blm thats meleeing in the pt as long as they do there job and dont complain about resting cuz they want to save there tp then i dont see a problem with it my blm is lvl 70 i most of my pts i used a staff in anyways if you havnt played a mage job you should try it gets verry boreing just sitting in the back its probaly why you find your mage fell asleep in the pt.

The best thing is there's new armor! I got some great new RNG body gear instead of the checkerboard junk I was getting tired of wearing:

Meh update. Just a big screwfest for fisherman. Fishing rusty caps to buy moat carp for Lu Shang is no more. Rabao, moatcarp capitol of the world has now been nerfed of said moat carps. People fishing there last night and today with high fishing skill are getting crap now. Lest we forget monsters off of cliffs now. Instead of catching fish to skill up on and to make gil from we now have to screw around killing monsters we catch, as opposed to the fish that should be there. Problem is you are catching more mobs than fish now. Thanks SE. Non botting fishermen are screwed instead of them cancelling the accounts of the botters. They want their 13.95 a month so won't kick them. Cliff botters are now in Windy Port. Didn't solve the problem.

Actually, I don't mind the fish monsters. However, I think fishing skills should also rise a little faster. It is the only skill that bores me to tears. Hmmm, actually the occasional fish monster might make it more fun for me. Maybe if they had some with good drops. Fish monster farming might just get me to break out the tackle and bait.

Omg I think I fell in love with this patch lol. It benefited me so much I can't believe it. The 250 exp max is so cool since sometimes we aggro a pesky terror pugil and we kill it and only get 200 exp from it and lose a ton of MP maybe now we'll get 250 :) Also the reduced recast time on cover is great since my static loves trying to pull hate away from me lol. Also raise oooooo raise what else can I say but I bought the inflated price of 8k without a second thought. Went around after I got raise looking for people to raise but was able to find one and wasn't the way I wanted it to happen. Some rdm lvl 31 got aggro from a goliath beetle in ordelle caves and I was camping the chyme along with a friend and the poor rdm was dying. I wanted to toss a cure so bad but the chyme was due to spawn at any second. Well unfortunately the chyme spawned but it spawned in the rarest place and quickly aggroed the rdm and killed him :( I quickly killed the chyme (no drop >.<) and finally was able to use raise on the rdm. I was happy I was able to use raise but kinda bummed that he had to die that way.

that is your farming weapon..

muals do double the DMG of the crappy wands BLM's get
and you also have some better staffs.. i think atleast not looked in a while

I'm surprised no one has mentioned Avatar magic burst ability, which is really cool. Tried it out last night, the MB hits for about 132-150. I also read something about avatars' blood pact ability having skillchain element...can someone clarify that please? I tried doing blade: retsu after Burning Strike from Ifrit (should have made a scission?) and nothing.

I played my bard last night in Garlaige and I have to say how happy I am about the etude's being able to be cast on individual characters now, it rocks. :)
