WHM to BLM: "Don't Heal"Follow

I decided to get get a couple of levels on my BLM, party to catch up in levels with my friends WHM. I had to do the necessary setup work for Rank 5, so I figured why not accept any invites I get to the jungles of Khazam. I ended up getting two /tells asking for party. The first person never responded... so I accepted the second.

It takes a while for everybody to get there. That was a bit frustrating, but I gladly waited. The WHM was in Windy and needed to travel to Jeuno.

Once the WHM arrived.. we started to kill Smithies and Mandras. After the second battle... I started to help healing. The WHM scorned me and told me not to do any healing, because they regened magic faster... :( For three hours or so... I was in a party and was asked not to do any healing... it was all about NUKE, NUKE and more NUKE! This was pure bliss for us main-jobbed WHMs who like to toil as a BLM.

As long as this is mentioned, I should say I got scolded once in Qufim for casting Paralyze and Slow on mobs at the beginning of the fight by our BLM. Usually if there's a RDM in the group, I don't cast any debuffs and stick to strictly healing. If not, I always cast Paralyze and Slow at the start of the fight... and sometimes Silence if applicable. I figure the mana cost is an investment. Paralyze alone is one of my favorite spells... 6 mana to keep the foe from attacking even just once saves me the 8 mana for a Cure, and usually it sticks much longer than one attack...

My pet peeve is RDM's who Regen the primary defender. I work hard to keep Regen going strong usually on the defender and puller and if there's a RDM who wants to Regen some of the others, that's fine by me. Aside from that, though, it feels like wasted mana when I cast Regen on the Paladin and then 5 seconds later I see the mage casting Regen... maybe I just need to add something to my macro to make it more visible... though I don't like screen clutter like that...

Yup.. I'm well aware of the strengths of both... I thought it was humorous, especially considering I got scolded first for healing after the battle was over.

I enjoyed not having to worry about it.. I kept my MP up all night and was never responsible for party downtime.
