Well firstly, it would be impossible to bot fish off the ferry since, unless you are very high level, must "sneak fish" due to the sea horror.

They could've been taking mules to another city is my guess. Some of the nekkid low levels may have been doing a "nekkid run for fun and gil to Xmarksthespot". Those are always fun to do with LS or friends. :)

What's funny is that I saw Rababa right outside S. Sandy not an hour after you told me about this, Hersh. Then a level 1 monk, no gear, no sub.

What *I* find unusual is that the level 20s had no subs. If I didn't have a sub, I wouldn't be wandering Vana'diel - I'd be busting my hump to get it.

But. If we are starting to get gil farmers in groups on Sylph, it will hurt us. People have come to our server from other servers to escape this problem. I don't want to try to go logging in Ghelsba only to find that there are people there camping the logging points all day long, with no courtesy because they're doing it to sell the gil.

I don't care if they work for a company or not (ex: the self-admitted gil seller Eva). I don't want them here. I prefer to be around people who are playing the game to, y'know, play and not screw things up for other people. :/

I think it's natural for us to be a little paranoid when we see strange things, because these individuals and companies are a fact of online gaming.

I have walked into walls too while talking... or did it once on choco... while in Rollenberry Fields... had to use the rest facilties in a hurry. Somebody sent me three 'hello' tells. When I didn't answer, there was a /s on the screen where a person said he didn't think bots rode chocobos! The guy asking must have been thinking I was a bot and told his friend such.

I guess a chocobo riding into a tree for five minutes can be quite odd.

I figured whoever rated me down didn't post! I just wanted to make sure whoever was rating me down knew I have nothing against Chinese or anything. I have a couple friends who wouldn't be friends if I did!

But on a more serious note, I'd have to say that this whole account selling thing isn't really an issue.

For one, anyone that buys these accounts is a total loser. And more likely than not, their personality is going to shine through the character. Or lack of, whatever the case may be. With a totally UBER-LAME name to boot. After a few months of sucking and having no friends would probably drive them to quit.

As for gil selling... this will probably never change. As of this posting, you can buy 50k gil for 10 bucks. I'd have to say the income of the average player in the game is 20k an hour or LESS. If a person makes 10 dollars an hour, they're gonna see that as a way to save real-life time.

Of course, the people that do this are also the types to never invest into a craft... so they blow it on total BS. And the cycle continues...

Ok, that's fine. Money from the economy all going straight to one person. Then straight back in. Where's the problem?

Clearly, the drive of players to make gil to sell for real-life money. The people that do that completely idiotic farming for hours on end, ruining those spots. The people that camp NMs just to get gil to sell...

Because of that, I personally believe gil-selling should at the LEAST be attempted to be stopped. Why can't SE at the least threaten legal action vs. Mysupersales? It's the BIGGEST gil seller website right now, and everyone goes to them to sell gil. Just taking them out would probably cut the drive in half.

Well I'll tell you why. Square-enix is the kind of company that schedules an update on a national holiday. Square-enix is the kind of company that is "ok" with bots, simply because people sit there smoking a bong while their bot vokes argus 24/7. Square-enix is the kind of company that's going to make money whether they EVER deal with a single issue in it's community or not. Why? Because we're all Final Fantasy addicts and are going to play no matter what.

In conclusion, I think people on this forum need to realise one thing. Complaining to this message board will get nothing accomplished. An hour or two of reads perhaps, but it won't change anything. You have to take your complaint directly to Square-enix, through email or on the phone or both. Trying to convince others to complain as well? Thats ok to post here. The more SE hears about an issue the faster they will deal with the issue.

But at the same time, I probably shouldn't be saying that. All the posts on these boards about half-brained suggestions as to how the game "should be" or "here's my idea for an event" would clog up the customer service and block out anything of substantial importance to Square-enix. So ignore what I said, trolls! Everyone else, think about it. :P

Heard about this in my LS and Chaosette is not a bot or anything. Chaosette is the mule of Chaosbringer, and he was taking Chaosette to Windurst to do the Aspir quest. He had an escort, so they were on the boat as well. He mentioned that there were a lot of low levels on the boat when he took her.
