Farming Static PartyFollow

Okay... Zavia and Cactus in particular, but everyone else too... would you guys like to form a static party for farming only (not XP). I figure we could meet once or twice a week for a few hours and hunt various zones and walk away with full pockets, fun stories, and good spirits. I figured we'd use 30-ish level jobs and just change up the area we hunt each time.

we would need an area rich in drops and orcs ;) and they should be atleast easy prey so we can get crystals

i thought davoi was pretty good but i think you need to be atleast 50 ish to farm there

And when we get together, I will share my advice for farming, and we can collect advice from others. I farm in some obvious places, and some not so obvious, and I'm not sharing those on the forums. ^^ No offense to anyone!

I do, however, recommend that everyone bring some crafting supplies with them, or other things (example: if we're farming in Jugner, bring hatchets just in case). I do a lot of on the fly crafting with things that don't stack, and typically reserve 4-5 slots for these things. It can really maximize your profit in places like Giddeus (bring sickles also!) and the Highlands.

I like soloing Jugnar for fangs and such, but those tigers can have a nasty bite. I've heard Pashhow is overdone and Dangruf is decent.

Davoi is great, but we'd need to be higher up I think.

One of my favorite things to do is go to Ghelsba with a level 13-14 job and blow the bejeezus out of as many orcs as possible. They still con as Easy Prey and drop fire crystals. The experience is low so you're there awhile but you're steadily advancing. The ONE time in my life I ever went farming on Sylph was there, 5 stacks of fire crystals by myself in under an hour.

...and we don't need a pearl or anything, but we need a witty name for ourselves! I submit for your approval, "The Cheap Skinks". ^^

As opposed to the really expensive skinks. ^^

Edited: I might actually say something here of use. Jugner and Pashhow are a little overfarmed, but if we have a group at 30~ or so, we might try some really off the wall places, like Sauromugue and Battallia (not very farmed)... places where we'll have to split up and work in pairs, but still get crystals and good items. But I also like the idea of taking 13-14 jobs through Ghelsba... that's cool!

True. We should still try to schedule regular times for farming when we're all around. And yeah we can always change jobs around if needed. Its weird, I'm used to parties like this being much more structured, but this makes a good deal of sense, even though it isn't as organized. Hunt, screw around, eat, drink, be merry, and walk away with a boatload of stuff to sell!

Where do I sign up?

I think if there's any protocol for this, its going to be as follows:

1. /tell Zavia Are we farming?
2. wait for response
3. If yes, /cheer and go wherever. If no, /sigh and go hunt something yourself. The /cheer and /sigh is very important. Make sure not to forget that or Leaping Lizzie's mom will come and get you, and she wears combat boots that sell for 2 gil at the AH so you don't want them... they're worse than earth crystals. ^^

LOL. Just /sea all Zavia and if I'm in a known XP area, I'm farming.

Since I'm not XPing for at least two weeks... well, work it out from there. ^^

Here's my suggestion for solving this problem - I will buy a linkshell. Yes, I know we all have links already, but this will be used to simply check in now and again -- a secondary shell.

And we'll name that CheapSkinks, just for Dyterium. ^^

Since we have so many interested in farming buddies/groups, I think this could really help. Whoever wants to farm that day can set the message, and people can check it, send tells, we can put on the shell, say okay, I'll go here, then change back to our main shells or whatever. Eh?

I will post here once I have procured a linkshell.
