Purrsia-Like him or love him, he's a good friend and kind and loyal and nothing but nice to his friends. He's a real genuine person.

Wynbert-For leading and keeping some sanity in the craziness that is TeaStation. A lesser taru would break!

Pingping-for assembling and leading the team all the way from ZM4 up into the sky. It was hard work keeping everyone on track, and navigating everyone around and doing all those BCNMs more than once in some cases so everyone could get it, but you did it, we did it and we are all grateful!

Armads and Keykei-for giving us the nickel tour of Sky last night when it was new and shiny. However, I should blacklist the both of you because you didn't warn us about not walking on the grass! ^.~

Mister and Missezjingles-You adorable guys always keep the mood light even in those nasty BCNMs. You guys bravely slogged through Ifrit's Cauldron to save everyone else a lot of time and effort, and while we can't thank you enough, the massive high level suicide that ensued should surely have been worth the trip!

Talverian-same as above, but you're not really "adorable". ;) Hunky hunky burning elvaan love, maybe...XD

To everyone with us last night: Thank you for your patience, your time, your energy-and CONGRATULATIONS! :D

*edit-dammit this is Shotie, not Ping XD Forgot to log him out. Ah well! Same sentiments!

I have five names I would like to add, but first a little backstory.

Three months ago, a few of us crazy CheapSkinks decided to hold a few "static" parties on Tuesday nights to boost up some jobs that weren't our primary interests, but we wanted to have available either for subs, BCNM options, or cuz they're fun. My intent in this group was to take my Dark Knight from level 14 up to level 20 so that I could use an Aspir scroll that had been gathering dust and taking up space in my mogsafe. I did not expect to have so much fun with this group of people. In retrospect, I think I've had more fun levelling this job than I did training as Dragoon (my main). Perhaps because there was less stress, since these jobs were "only secondary". Our static grew comfortable. We had our share of deaths and misfortune, but that was eclipsed by our speedy levelling and the inside jokes that made me look forward to Tuesday nights the way most people would look forward to Friday nights.

At any rate, exactly 3 months later our motley group has become a well-oiled machine working well with each other and last night we all attained our 40th level out in Altepa. It was a joyous occasion and every time someone dinged, we spammed the pearl and this continued 6 times. We stayed up a bit later than usual to ensure that everyone got their level. Now we'll be looking into doing our Artifact weapon quests together. Unfortunately level 40 marks the end of this static as we know it. I am saddened, but I realize that others do not want to pursue those jobs any further. Already, though, our linkshell is looking into a way to restructure this group with jobs that people are more enthusiastic about levelling.

Yet I digress. Specifically the people I wish to whitelist:

Zavia - Our furless leader. And despite rumors to the contrary, the best puller I know. I knew every Tuesday night that with Zavia pulling, we were going to be getting mad XP. I was seldom disappointed. Also my skillchain buddy. We seldom missed one, but when we did it was traditional to tease each other about it.

Piz - Our paladin tank. Always quick with a voke (I would swear, sometimes he never had the 30 second recast timer like the rest of us). When things went south, which they seldom did, he was always the first to die, or the last to zone. A paladin in the truest sense, and an inspiration in training my own Paladin.

Mikotasheka - Our white mage. Always alert and quick to shell out the cures, she kept us alive longer than most other healers I know. There were times she dropped Benediction or a Curaga during battle knowing full well what the risk was. Always quick with a Regen after I threw up Souleater, I felt safe on those rare occasions that I did manage to pull hate away from Piz.

Cactusapo - The static taru nuker! And WHAT a nuker! I enjoyed competing with him, seeing who could Aspir more MP off the mobs. He seldom missed a magic burst... in fact, I could probably count the number of times it happened in those 26 levels on one hand.

Hershai - The songweaver. Between Hershai's songs and Aspir, I was almost always able to cast what I wanted, when I wanted, without any need to heal. His Dexterity boosting music made it possible for me to reach 100% TP at the same time as Zavia for our skillchains, if not before her. I've heard stories about Dark Knights that couldn't hit the broad side of a barn with their scythes. Hershai ensured that I was not one of these Dark Knights.

Dyterium - I might as well include myself here, since I was part of the team. Aside from doling out the pain, though, and towards the end using Stun to make gobbies forget that they were going to drop bombs, I did nothing special for the group... certainly not by myself. With their friendship and support, though, I was more powerful than I would have been by myself, or I think its safe to say more powerful than I would have been with any other group.

Thank you guys for making what was previously the crappiest day of the week one of the best! Can't wait for 50!

Mohamed, Jada, Focritien... and the friends of Focritien whose names I have forgotten >< (sorry, it was late, and I just went to bed afterwards).

Jada, Focritien and crew went along with my L2 alliance, despite the total idiocy presented by several of the members (a couple of which were already on my blacklist, so I think I missed out on a lot of the stupidity present). Most of the members were perfectly fine, but I don't know that I would have stayed around after the ingratitude and rudeness of a few members. Our escorts' patience and benevolence deserves note. I just wish I could remember the names of everyone ><

Mohamed - I was wandering around Castle Oztroja trying to find the Yagudo Abbots for their Holy Water, and Mohamed quit camping Mee Deggi, even though it was getting close to the spawn time, to not only show me where they were, but solo'd one for my water.

Thank you!

Yeah, I think you missed out on one of the WHMs telling Jada to chill out. She was frustrated because she had to keep spamming 'EVERYONE LISTEN.' and no one was. She was helping me out because she wanted to at first, but when all she wanted to tell everyone was to rush to the ??? and click it and than get the **** outta dodge before the stupid NM respawned..

Strush was the other LS mate that helped us out and deserves to be recognized. ^^

Either way..we got it done with the help of that 75drk...who's name I can't remember >.< It was kinda fun just tearing everything that we saw to shreads with 18 people.

I'd like to recommend Kataru, Ultimate, Turkan, and Rastellin

These guys are awesome. They helped me with several things. Most notably was the time I went with these guys to help a friend kill dark spark. After we were done with that, one of the white mages asked if we could fight the AF3 Notorius Monster in Fei Yin while we were in the area. Kataru was all over it so we hiked over to Fei Yin.

The Notorius Monster killed a few of us, including Kataru. The guy uses a Hi Reraiser, gets up, and keeps fighting. Dies, again, gets raised again, and STILL keeps fighting. Afterwards he told us that he doesn't mind dying for his friends. That was the most fun I had ever had in this game. :-)

This thread is such a good idea, I thought I'd add my list and a brief tale for each character.

Caerith: My good IRL friend with infinite wisdom in the ways of gilmaking. Not to mention Acheron's bankroller for the past 72 levels. I dont know where my debt stands at the moment, but someday I will pay it back. Couldnt be in Vanadiel without you, buddy.

Arcania: The Weasel multi-job is the most indecisive player I have ever met. 46 is her lucky, er rather unlucky, level. Arc is amongst the most talented minds in Vanadiel. She simply understands the game. Give her your stats sometime, ask her for your max damage and she will hit it like a bulls eye. If anyone were to invent a timer telling you exactly when NMs will pop...it will be Arc.

Graci: Seldom do I not see Graci online helping me or others with something. Her time and life is dedicated to service, and through that serves herself.

Leach: If Acheron had an elvaan half-brother it would be Leach. The last of the Roscoe bloodline. Our missions together have a 100% success rate so far.

Klizard: Klizard is definately amongst oldskool. A good teacher in his own right as well. Klizard has much patience and is a solid leader. The 4 or 5 levels we partied together in the 60s were amongst teh most enjoyable. This selfless Paladin, who-should-be-a-dark-knight, has given me many opportunities that I might not normally have had in the game. Thanks bud

Nanla: I have a bard friend! And a high level one at that! Meticulous to make sure a party is working their best, Nanla is the oil that makes any machine move smoothly. And what good bard isnt?

Aiantes: The seemingly happy-go-lucky Beastmaster. Nobody deserves more of a chance at AF2 and HNM drops than Aiantes, after all, all he does is take his power and give it back to others.

Zmo: Sensei no more, but still a wise Monk. At only 3 levels my sempai, it isnt really accurate to consider me your kohai anymore. Now if Ic ould only make him understand that an Optical Hat doesnt give a monk style...

Devaniel: Dark days in Vanadiel challenge Dev often, fraught with frustration. But alas you have Hexa-strike, finally. Dont despair over this game. Higher level is the great equalizer. Devaniel should be invited to all parties. He plays his WHM with as sharp as mind as he can. Critical of his performance and meticulous to improve, Devaniel seems more interested in helping other people, FOR FREE, than helping himself. That, my friend, is virtuous.

BloodWolfe: A jokester WHM who claims mastery over Sneak and Invis. (What could be better last words for a WHM than that?) Wolfe is actually very willing to offer his time up in the name of helping others. Im sorry I ususally lead you into deaths jaw, Wolfe, but your assistance is always appreciated and your company always ennjoyed.

PingPing - Ping knew me in my less than fantastic days. He is remarkably helpful to many people, and with infinite patience. Getting a random /tell asking for directions usually ****** people off, but Ping helped out quite earnestly. Ping, I think you have the notoriety and abilty on the server to lead a new generation of high levels to a lot of good things, like HNM battles, dynamis raids, etc. All things we want. Dont let nerfs, gilsellers, or fools stop you from just seizing what you want in the game. youve got the support, just make it happen. People will follow.

Finally, as always, a tip to my great teachers Hanzu and Bucket who left the shores of Vanadiel for a simpler life in Azeroth. When the game eventually degenerates to a big PvP game, dont feel any shame in returning to Sylph.

I couldn't think of any better way to pat Dev on the back than you just did here. :)

Dem, wrong speech... XD

Kidding. Point is there are too many people to thank and honestly I've forgotten most of them. But I'lle give it a try...

Top of the list
Alessandra
..without her I would still be in the Dunes with WAR16 looking to get my subjob. till need to sabotage her though so I can catch up XD

Also among favorite life savers has been...
Kristalyn
Shotie
Slide

And I'd include LS members but I haven't been on a decent LS for a loooooong time short of my personal LS with just Alessandra, myself and a couple other people. Hoping the WolvesoftheMoon will be the LS for my static pt if I ever get one XD

Anyhow, enough babbling. Thank You to those that I listed and to those that I have not. You've all been a great help and thank you for the PL/Raise/Cure/etc. Very Special Thanks to Alessandra for ALL her help thus far. ^^

I have several people I'd like to add. I may have already posted some their names somewhere on this thread before, since a couple of them are friends of mine who have helped me out before. Most of them I'm sure are new though, so let's begin!

Baveise
Jafoda
Pasche
Heavyarms
Tadaka
Allura
Leilah

The first two (Baveise and Jafoda) may have been mentioned before by me. Well, now they're getting yet another mention, so take notice! If you come across one of them, tis a good day indeed ^^. Baveise (a 60ish PLD) came with me to Boyahda Tree today to help me look for the coffer, since I needed it for my Dragoon Artifact Armor. We get there, start looking around, and it isn't too long before we remember that the crabs aggro to sound, and we have no sneak or oils on us of any kind -_-. This is where Jafoda comes in ^^. She's a 60ish RDM, and even though she was wanting to exp and put a party together, she raced out to Da Tree, and began promptly making us sneaky. In maybe 10-15 minutes, we'd located the coffer, and I had my old gauntlets ^^.

Part 2 of our story, is where the other 5 members on the list come in, as they were in the party that went with to tackle Dark Spark. Tadaka and Leilah (56 BLM and 58 RDM respectively) both needed to kill DS as well, so they climbed aboard. Allura (56 WHM) has been a friend of mine for some time, and came to help me out yet again. Just to be safe, I wanted to get a tank who was 60+, so I started sending /tells to various people, and Heavyarms was the only one who was willing. With the other 5 members in place, it was time to find a DD. Pasche (64 RNG) was actually looking for a party at the time, and so of course I thought that she wouldn't want to help us out, but I thought I'd ask anyway. I was pretty blown away when she said yes she would! She and Heavyarms had obviously done this before as they immediately set out for the Castle with the rest of us in tow. They were very courteous, and never once made us feel like they were babysitting us (though they really were, lol). We got to Dark Spark with next to no trouble, and even though Tadaka was killed when Dark Spark exploded (all of us were thrown into the red), he never complained. Actually, he just laughed it off, lol. I got the "Shadow Flames", Tadaka gave us D2's, and now I have my Drachen Finger Gauntlets as a result ^^. Thanks very much to all of you guys, you've made me a very happy Dragoon!
