I like the idea, but I'd have a lot of troulbe leaving my current shell and even more trouble getting them to switch shells. At best, I'd see this as a part-time shell for me. Given past histories of me with part time shells, it would be an extremely part time shell.


You could always join Oto's shell. They have 3-5 members already on the board, so it would probably work.

Sounds like fun but, I have to say my current ls is pretty family-based, and definatly G-rated, but I would like to hang out part time, maybe we can set up a time in here when everyone has the linkshell up, and it could be a once-a-week or something like that.

I fully agree. I'm fully happy with my LS as well. This is not a replacement LS though!

That's the thing. This would be a part-time, part-time LS.

But this is a great way to expand our networks and have a little fun once in a while on the side as well.

I think this is a great idea.

Mixed emotions on this subject. With the exception of say....role playing, dynamis, limbus. I see not a reason to have another LS. And would rather see my members playing an active role in the LS.

I agree with wanting to spend time with you all. In fact i was about to make a post about a LS static that i was going to open up a couple slots to my friends here.

Hello all. Opo and I have been thinking and considering yet another static. I had made the mention to him that i would prefer to be static 4 days a week. So far i have 2 statics one night a week.

My Bard for mondays...and Corsair for tuesdays.

Opo and i share very similar play styles and the urge for a fast progression. We talked about what jobs we would WANT to devote significant time too, and also something that would work well together.

Opobant is getting the urge to be a Ninja. Awesome, i firmly believe he posses the talent to know his job and complete it well.

I myself looked through my job lists and they all are interesting to me. What did catch my eye.......

RED MAGE

With a competant NIN tank and a solid group behind him. The "need" for a whm is not as prevelant as other party designs. With this in mind. I will be leveling my RDM to 20 to meet with Opobant.

Key Notes:

1. This static WILL be partying 2 nights during the week for 3-4 hour sessions.

2. Dependability is a must, as well as dedication.

3. We are looking to be Melee heavy.

4. We are opening this to LS first, then opening it up to outside close friends if the slots are not filled.

5. Projected start level is 20. This can be adjusted depending on those interested.

6. Specific times are not nailed down as of yet, Opo has mentioned he would like to keep the weekends open. Both he and i are tied up mondays and tuesdays. So right now it looks like 2 nights Wed + Fri. Start times would be around 9:30-10pm EST (possibly 9).

I understand what Oto is saying here. We do have a kick @ss LS and please see Oto or Opo if anyone is looking for an awesome LS(For Honor and Glory - woot!). I guarantee that it's a kick @ss ride!

I just wanted to make a clarification here. I think Bartel's idea is more of a few people getting together here and there to shoot the cr@p if you will. Right?

I think that we all have LS's that we are very happy with and I know Bartel wasn't trying to undermine anyone's LS. (If I can pursuade a few over to mine that I wil)..... ooooops... mt!! LOL

Sadly the reason a merge will never work is because no one wants to give up THEIR shell to join a new one. I understand, I was kind of hoping it might've worked differently, but I can totally respect being true to your shell.

I do think that it would be a good idea to just have a shell we could all hang out at and shoot the sh*t. I was originally thinking of just using the shell I'm in now (Dysfunction), but it may be better to just have an entirely new shell. I still have an old LS I used to run called DarkCity that could suffice, or we could just start a new one, or if you want I can just give people pearls to my current shell and use that as a Siren server hangout. Up to you guys really. Gimme some opinions and we can make it work. ^^

And no Syn, I'd never leave Dysfunction. Greatest ls on earth. I was actually trying to expand it and bring some of the crazies over from here, because they would fit in well. Oh well, we'll see what people think. =D

As stated, its going to be very hard to create a merged linkshell since some linkshells are very well established.

Thus I think a linkshell just for shooting the breeze is cool. It should be at a regular time... so it becomes sort of a daily/weekly get-together type thing. If a full fledged LS develops from that, all the better.

I still think Nutjobs Anonymous is a cool name given the parameters. :)

I have played this game since the PS2 release, and still have never had a static party. Most english speaking players get on in the early evening and leave by the time that I am getting on. I get off of work at 11pm Tuesday - Thursday and work till 7pm Friday and Saturday, so I usually don't log in during the week until midnight. I should just start taking classes in Japanese if I want to find a static, I suppose..

everyone would be a sackholder. Since its more of a social shell, you just invite who you want. If it gets too out of hand, the offenders will get booted. Nutjobs Anonymous eh? Ok, next time I'm around one of the cities I'll pick up a shell and we can work it out.

And feel free to rag away, lord knows all I do all day in game is make fun of people like WM and Ugly. =D
