I am here to write this post not to complain about the infamous gilsellers of Siren, or any FFXI server for that fact. I am writing this to state something which me and my LS buddy have noticed; and well to be honest have laughed our tarutaru asses off at. You see itís seem the Gilsellers of Siren like to mix and match class combinations that don't seem to go together. Now I know they are not playing for the usual reasons the non-gilsellers are playing for. But I have to wonder why they use the bizarre job combinations they do IE: DRG/BLM, BRD/RNG. I never see THF as a job subbed or main. They just seem to me to take random classes and throw them together...not to mention a lot of the gilsellers are DRG that I have seen. Why no THF? Is this because of some secret morale code the Gilsellers follow? It's ok for them to do what they do as long as it's not too easy? Or is it because one gilseller will grab up a real life friend who has no idea what the hell FFXI is about and say "Hey want to come make some money?" I wish I could type /sea all gilsellers and get ready for a good chuckle at the marvel of their mish-mashed job pairs. To be honest I am not the most familiar with the "Fast gil, Fast women" life the gilsellers of Siren lead...and I do not care to delve deeply into it either. Itís more or less humour and curiosity that lead me to this post this. I wonder now what you other Sirians think or know about the bizarre actions of these infamous fat cats? I guess one answer to all this is that as my friend put it "Dude, they are stupid Gilsellers, they don't know how to play the actual game"

I've seen lots of DRGs sure... but if I remember correctly most of them are DRG/WHM.

Why not THF as a sub instead of WHM? Well because a DRG/WHM is a kick-ass solo artist. Why sub THF for gilfinder, when the downtime from resting every so often may very well mean less gil than a DRG/THF.

Or maybe go DRG/BLM so you can use -ga spells to take on multiple mobs at once.

Whatever though - it could also be that, like you said, they just have no idea what they are doing.

LOL

I know what you might mean about the whole DRG/BLM thing, ok yes this is understandable, but i kid you not when saw one of those gilsellers as a BRD/RNG now this...this I cannot for the life of me understand lol sure I only have seen it once, but once was enough. Anyway I look forward to seeing more of these whacky combos from our "Friendly Neighboorhood Gilsellers."

actually if you look in Sanctuary of Zi'Tah there are 3 gil sellers always there the Lnt... they have a DRK/THF(55/25) THF/WAR(60/25) and a WHM/BLM(51/10) so yes almost all the Zoe are DRG but they have atleast one DRG/THF in there pty the rest are DRG/WHM.

Just my 2 cents

Drg/whm are cured by their dragon when they use a whm spell (dia)

i dont know if there is a lvl or anyother requirement for this but i know drgs can solo for exp and farm almost non stop because of it.

First one most likely for Warp so they can get around easier. The second one for widescan. Those are really the only advantages I can see.

Not really sure about BRD/RNG, I guess widescan would make sense. RDM/RNG would own as we actually have Archery skill (Bards do not I believe,) and I'm pretty sure Sidewinder comes at level 57 for RDM.

Sidewinder would take down some goobues in a hurry hehe.
