ok so i went through all 7 pages of posts here and didnt see a thread like this... there's one for about every server except this one!!
so here's what we do... who have you partied with/allianced with/missioned with/quested with/helped out/been helped out by, that really sticks out in your mind as a good player?
let me start out with a couple of my own
Kagemusha - my ls leader all around great guy, always happy to see everyone in the LS always happy to help out anyone with any mission, he's sacrificed himself on a rank 4 mission so that we could continue... you should see our LS light up when he comes on mid 50sish WHM elvaan
Phen - also in our LS, another great guy that helps with about anything you could ever think of.. helped me do DRK AF1, rank 5, rank 4 and probably other stuff im not thinking of now... he's at least a LVL 70 RNG tarutaru

There actually was a list of "good people/bad people" at one time. But I think it kinda turned into a "he said/she said" about several of the people mentioned as both cool and idiots. I myself partied with two of the "cool" people and they may have been cool, but they were two of the worst players I have encountered. Also, I ran across one of the "jerks" who helped me immensely with SC dynamics and even helped me with a mission after the party was over.
I do think the people that go out of their way to be nice and to help people deserve special recognition. But policing and monitoring a post like this could get tough when people dont agree on the character of a listed player.

Hmm I helped him get a AF. Yes hes a kool kid, ive known him since he started playing FFXI.

Cool - I am glad this thread has made a comeback... but please please please do not make one for so called "bad people" cuz that just leads to many many problems.
If someone wants to call someone out, let them do it themselves and get flamed... you don't want to get involved by giving them a forum to legitimize their ramblings.
As for cool peeps... you won't meet a cooler bunch than some of the folks who are in, or frequent, my LS.

Heh, I just wanted to post to give ya props for trying to post an optimistic thread for a change =) as for good players, well... there are so many that deserve posted that i could never thing of it.. whether it be a good friend of mine on the game or a passer-by that throws a cure my way Siren as a whole a nice community full of its good peeps... There are always gonna those choice few who are jerks but nothing u can do so shrug it off and move on ^^ well im done I jus wanted to tell ya good job bringin this thread back ^^...

overdrive- at levle 40 i had been farming forever for jujitsu gi, made 100k gil, that took forever had some ppl help me camp it. Artemls strait up bought it for me /cry. Now thats a good person.
Devony-she's been helpful for me on numerous occasions. Powerleveling my lower leveld jobs if she was around. She helped me camp Jujitsu gi, even thou we didnt get it, i appreciate the gesture. I've seen her taken jobs and level them like nothing, an all around good player
xcloudx- he helped me become samurai, and my inspiration for samurai.

sirblank-all around good guy, known him since i first started playing. Helped me farm for chainmail set, helped me camp for jujitsu gi. Helps me out in tight spots, and he leveld drg soo fast. I was samurai levle 32, and he was drg level 1. And now i'm samurai 49, and he's drg 62(unsure what he is now). But i did quit playing for 3 months.
and all of the helpful ppl in my LS SuperDuper. They've helped me throu a lot of my missions. ANd they're all around good ppl.
I really appreciate when higher level characters take their time out to help you. It means alot and the ppl you help appreciate it. But there isnt much i can do to payback the favor, but by helping other lower levels in need.
I dont know where this game would be without all of these ppl. It'd be a economy raped with greedy ppl and a**holes. I'm glad they're around.

O wow... I want someone to mention me lol j/k . i try to be nice so if any of you recognize me my name is Artimecion , im a hume male SNM/WHM so look me im always looking for new friends.

Djsstorm and Emeraldzt- these two people are engaged i think lol but more importantly they are awesome people. if any of you have had the privilage of parting with them you know what i mean.
Vainspark- this guy helped me get to valkrum my first time and took me on teh ship and everyting all in all he is a great guy just for putting up witha new player like me lol i was probably really annoying.
Shalidar- awesome person, he is my best friend outside the game you guys can /tell him also , im usualy with him ALL the time he is my "Gaurdian" so we are to gether 95% of the time.
Kadorido- he is a really cool guy. i dont party with him alot but he is fun to chat with! he is taru so i ask him to dance alot.
Redhawk - this guys is a character all right lol. He can be imature sometimes but an all around nice guy.
Kassie and Freeko - another wedded couple that are fun people.
Kikyio, klide, and ....well there is one more person that hangs arond them..cant remember his name for the life of me lol. they are cool people.

Sirblank- an awesome drg and friend, he's done good to get so far in a job that is contantly being put down ><
Xcloudx/Ballista/whatever other characters he made in the past year- when I first started the game...I struggled to find a job I really wanted to be. I considered NIN, up until I saw cloud for the first time. I was instantly moved to become a SAM. Today, he's moved on from the job...but I'm still going strong, keeping the legacy going.
Lighthammer- by far the coolest galka I've ever met.
I'd also like to mention everyone else in my ls, CosaNostra: Leitz, Bxbaby, Dayus, Sirtiko, Acedog, my RL friends Beastman and Manthrra, and everyone else I haven't mentioned.

OH man, DJRedry ..you have to be kidding right! o that so F*ing sucks they were a great couple and awesomely nice people im so upset . as for kassie i wish her the best of luck and ill make sure to get everyone i know to with freeko the best of luck also, and try to cheer him up loosing your in game partner can be devistating for people that really getinto the game..i dont know how indepth freeko is but ill be sure to send my condoleces.

Two great people i know on FFXI are Shifu and Tyler.
Shifu - Always helps me out with quests and lets me borrow some of his equipment if i don't wanna spend all my money on it! I'll find some way to pay him back.

Aurelius - Great RNG, great LS mate. Glad you responded to my shouts for making Holy Bolt heads back...omg, was that level 30 for me? Great to talk to, lots and lots of good info and an all around nice guy.
Keeblerelf - Ok, granted we're like joined at the hip in-game but I've played enough to know that he is hand-down, one of the best PLD's in-game. Helpful, selfless, and just a cool guy in general.
Bor - Thank goodness he took a few months off so we could catch up to him :) One of the first people I partied with back in my first run through the dunes. I /befriended him and have never regretted it for one second. Again, selfless and always, always willing to help.
Redry - Thanks for the help on various missions and for keeping the boards here lively.
Deadlyscorpion - Humble, quiet...LOL, ok maybe not humble and quiet but totally helpful, thanks time and again for the help with Limits!

Lordgore - 61ish PLD, Awesome PLD, used to have a static with him and Why and it was great.. If you get a chance to party with this PLD, take it!
Mynock - 55 RDM, Hilarious guy, always there when you need help. Started a linkshell called Gihern and helps out everyone in the LS as much as he possibly can. He's a great friend.

Well for what it is worth I think everyone is a good person on Siren. Some play the game more seriously than others. Some may not behave in the manner we would like them too but it is their "nickel" and as long as they not directly causing me anguish I say to each his own.
However I would like to make a special note to a person that helped me out after I felt I was at a deadend. I had gotten to the sandy 9-2 mission and went with a party died 4 times that night before we just decided to throw in the title and regroup. Well three weeks later and not ever able to finish it for different reasons it was bugging me to have it left "undone"
I asked all my friends that already had rank 10 and they were like "sure we will help as soon as you get a bard let us know"

hmmm bard sandorian rank 9.2 or higher that is playing at the same time I am and that is free and that is willing to help when I am free to do this mission and not involved in another matter on the game was like finding a needle in a haystack until I found a real gem last night

Thank you for helping our party achieve rank ten in one of the smoothest operations I have been privilege to partake on this game. Makes me want to go level bard even more so now.
I could make a very long bandwidth munching list down here of my choice of "good" people on Siren but you know who you are and I wouldn't want to overlook noting you here. You are the ones that log in to hang with your friends in the game, to unwind after work or school in a fun game, to face an exhilarating challenge of defeating a difficult mission or mob in the game, you are the ones that still play it as if it was a game, just a game, for fun. I look forward to logging in and playing the game with you.
