In light of the recent blow up of prices on our wonderful server, I think it's in order that we make a trading thread. If you have any gear that you wish to purchase/sell, post it here and I will make a list, sort of an advertisement type list.

This server forum is dead enough, why not keep it here? ^^ And besides, gives me something to do when there's nothing going on in the office :D

Updates made, if you have any other items, no matter how useless they may seem, just post it up here, you'd be surprised at how many people want Royal Footman's bandanas to level their lower lvl chars, it might be garbage to you, but it might be gold for someone else.

This is going to be hell on earth to keep updated...good luck to that one. Though, I think Allakhazam is already working on a system to already have this done. They had a sticky on the main forum asking for World Passes for ALL the servers.

You raise a valid point. I wouldn't blame someone for saying they need the gil for other things and want to get as much as they can for it.

On the other hand, this forum seems to be frequented by some good people. Personally, had I had the opportunity to camp VE and get a hairpin, I would have happily sold it to Rapierdwit for the 300k offering price.

Why? Because I can still remember when hairpin was 200k. 300k is still a very generous offer for what I'd be selling. What's 150k between friends? The item has no real value aside from what we assign to it.

What I find about the AH is that prices can go way up because of the anonimity of the procedure. Much like you will find people behaving in the game (or in these forums) in ways they would never behave IRL, you'll find people listing things higher on AH than they would offer to sell them to a friend/LS mate.

This forum has the ptoential to become like an open-door offline Linkshell of sorts, and I think this thread is a great way to promote that ^^

I agree with Aurelius - and thought that was the point of the thread. I consider those of us that frequent these forums to be a community of sorts... amd I wrong?

And if we want that community to be strong, why wouldn't we help one another out?

Now, I wouldn't necessarily ever expect someone to sell an item they paid 400k gil for, for 300k... but if say, for instance, you were quitting the game, or simply giving up on a certain profession and starting a new one that won't really ever need the Hairpin that you bought months ago at 200k, why not sell it to a person here for just 100k profit and make someone's day?

You don't have to, and no one would think any less of you if you didn't, but they would sure think highly of you if you did.
