I use to work for hotels.com and we use to sometimes have problems with credit card fraud. Now I didn't work in the fraud department but was the intermedium between the customer and the fraud department. So with that said, I can offer advice that may or may not help you in this situation; but it's worth a shot to maybe get some of these charges erased.

If the card company isn't doing anything about it, try contacting the places of buisness in which the purchases is made (specially if they are online companies), they in return will contact your C.C. company.

Second thing to do is actually file a report with your local police department. Let's put the bastard behind bars if he is caught.

Contact your credit card company again to have a new CC# and card reinstated. Now with all of these accomplished the best that can happen is you'll see the charges dropped, especially if they places that the purchases was made drops the charges to the CC Company (it actually happens alot...don't know how many charges I dropped because of fraud.) If this doesn't happen at least your helping catch some asshat who probally is doing this to others...and has an underlevlel sub and bad eq. lol

That's crap. But I guess it's to be expected that people would do something like that. I'm really sorry to hear this happened to you. I didn't get a chance to know you very well but it was nice to have you either way.

I hope you can patch things up, and I hope that everything works out alright for you.

I'm going to do what I can to have them alleviate the charges on my card, I'll do what Kohn mentioned.

I really don't want to just leave so many of my friends behind, so I'm going to do my best to keep "Dranoface" alive, but I cannot make any promises to anyone, even myself for that matter.

I hope I can do something about this, although, I should be able to, the CC companies can't just let this sort of thing happen like this.

I'm going to get a Visa/Mastercard Debit card from my bank, I'm sick of CC's, I've been screwed over by them too often.

Anyway.. wish me luck everyone, I only hope I can get through this bullsh*t.

FYI: It looks like you should only be out $50 dollars, now most credit card co's I've worked with will fully refund all illegal charges. The best thing you can do is put your dispute in writing send it certified mail, police report, possibly sign an affidavit.

And, as well, when you were partying in Delkfutt's Tower the other night, and you called for help on that bat, I could have very easily let you all die, but I didn't, because I'm not an @#%^ like you play me out to be.

While I was in the Tower while you were xping, I gathered about 6 Gigas, and was on my way to your camp.. then I thought about how your party didn't need to suffer from your ignorant actions, so I stopped.

I got a /tell from someone named Lamalas the other day, he was flipping out on me because Punisher had told him I was talking sh*t about him.

First of all, I don't know Lamalas. Second of all, If I wanted to talk sh*t about him, I wouldn't say it to Punisher, I'd either say it to his face, or to one of my actual friends. And last, but not least.. it was said that I was talking sh*t through the Carnage Linkshell... if I recall correctly though, last time I was on that LS, I was talking sh*t about Punisher, and was thus booted from it.. which, I would say I was proud of, but it's very easily accomplished, considering you're an insecure bunch of children.

I've had enough of you Harkette... one more /emote, or /say comment from you, and I will not be held responsible for my actions.

btw,for those that even care, I spoke with my credit card company's fraud department, they're looking into it at the moment, but until then, I still have the charges on me.. I know it's going to be solved though. Thanks for the advice everyone, you've been a great help, with the exception of one.

Thought I might as well add this.. Harkette currently plays a THF/WHM combo, for party purposes. I'm surprised your best buddy Punisher hasn't jumped you for that yet, Harkette.

Harkette I pity you, to come on this thread and bring in game instances to flame something that happens to someone in real life, grow up. Funny how you try to to use the TOS as a way to justify your actions. Keep in mind that higher levels can screw a lower level more than vise versa. But then again what else to expect from a friend of Punisher, figures why he and most of the people in the Carnage LS are shunned. Your name will be one I remember.

Dran, hopefully things go better for you. I'm sorry to hear what happened and totally sympathise for your financial loss. I don't know you well, but good luck to you, hopefully we'll continue to see you on Siren after Nov. 1.

Drano bro I've only recently met you on FFXI and am sad to hear you are going. From what i know about you, you seem to be a solid player. I am not saying I am a saint, bc i know i have many flaws, but if it means anything you have made a friend out of me. :)

Well, I have some good news and some bad news concerning this issue.

Everything has been sorted out, I no longer need to worry about those charges on my card.

The bad news... while I was asleep last night, my brother (who lives with me) went onto FFXI, and set a member password, so I can't even access the game. Better yet, he cancelled it, completely deleted my account.

It can be retrieved by Jan. 1st, and will be.

Thank you to all my friends, and some of you I don't know, for the support, it means a lot.

Also, at the moment I am pestering POL to remove this password, yet they say they can't.. but they have to have some way of retrieving it for those who forget it.

Finally! I'm getting back on tonight, I'm at the library at the moment doing some "light reading" I geuss... but my fiance convinced my brother to give me the password.

Damn, I love her.. hehe

/sigh.. I only wish I could change the title of this post to "Farewell Siren.... oh, nevermind"

haha.. thanks Leo.. I doubt we'll get to party again, I mean.. I'm level 52 now, I'm way beyond fighting those Workers in CN.. I'll probably be about 60 by that time.. if not higher.

btw, I knew donavon, I was in his LS for a while, great guy.. really helpful, and well spirited.. then he just stopped coming online.. his LS died.. and we all forgot about him, glad to see you carry on his name Leo!
