Did I say FOURTH ANNUAL? That's right, I did! Hard to believe it, but FableUnity has been around for four of these things. But we can reminisce later, let's get out the details!!!

I'm sure you all remember your first trip to the dunes...heck, even your last trip. It was filled with death, dispair, mayhem, more death, and possibly even a fair share of curse words. Am I correct?

Well now it's time for a little payback, wouldn't you agree?

FableUnity will be hosting a revival its first -and biggest- two-part event: "Lvl 10 Dunes Alliance," and the "Best Death Contest." Not only will we utterly murder all those Goblins, Lizards, and Undead that tortured us the first time around, but this will give us a chance to try out some new jobs that we might want to play some day.

FU Membership isn't required to participate in the event!


Level 10 Alliance

Why kill monsters with 6 when you can kill them with 18? This is a nonstop 1-2 hours of slaughtering those dunes mobs with not one...not two...but three parties of your angry fellow Vana'diel-ians. Where this used to be limited to Shiva, recent server-switching updates mean that this can be open to all of Vana'diel!!! (assuming they switch to Shiva, of course ;) )

Here's the rules:
**You MUST have a level 10 job to participate. Only level 10s will be invited. If you have a level 5, get it to 10...you have a month so no complaining. If you have a level 12, delevel it. Only level 10s will be allowed to join :D
**You MUST be able to show up on-time in the dunes. The alliance starts at 3pm CST, so it's best to show up ~2:30 just to be safe. That way we can get you teleported and escorted to the dunes if need-be.
**Only the first 18 will be allowed to participate, so come early. If we get more people, we may start up another alliance

The Best Death Contest

Of course, the dunes is all about death...a fact that some of us know all too well. After the "Level 10 Alliance," show us your death skills by enacting the "best" death. There are many ways to die, you show us the best. The winner takes home a prize!

Here's the rules:
**There is no level requirement/restriction
**There is a 5 minute time limit. If your death goes over 5 minutes from the time I say "go," you become disqualified
**Props can be used, so be creative. Items...fireworks...people? The "best" death isn't just the one who dies the fastest or the loudest. ;)
**Only the people who participate can vote

The winner of the "Best Death Contest" will have the choice of gil (up to 100k) or a variable-value mystery item. Remember, FU membership isn't a requirement so don't be shy about joining us for the event. If you plan on attending, simply post your intent here so we know to look for you.

P.S. -- If that new update makes its way close to the date of the Level 10 Alliance, the date mayyyyy change. If it did, it would only be so people could take ANY of their jobs > 10 and not need to purchase additional gear :D

Just a reminder that this is going down on SUNDAY! And with the new level sync option, you shouldn't even need to be level 10...just show up :)
