On Christmas day, a good friend too many of us on Shiva passed away. Kiev had struggled with cancer for several years but finally lost his greatest battle.

Though I never had the privilege to meet him in real life we did speak a few times over Vent and talked a lot in-game. He was an honest, faithful, self-sacrificing person who was always there when you needed him. To me, he will always be remembered as that Elvaan Paladin working so hard to protect our LS from the Orcs, Yagudos, Quadav, and Goblins in Dynamis.

Kiev will be missed by his friends, but we will continue to be there for our Muffen (Kiev's real-life wife).

Light a candle for those we mourn.
Into a new life they will be born.
Do not look for them at the gravesite.
They are somewhere else radiating their beautiful light.
They have gone to a new world where there is no darkness, no pain.
Their light and essence will always remain.
Light a candle for those who have left this mortal place.
They are free to travel through time and space.
When we think of them, they are near.
When we sit in a beautiful garden. Their voices we hear.
When we listen to a divine symphony,
We close our eyes, their faces we see.
Light a candle for they have not really gone.
With each flickering flame, in your hearts they will always belong.

This is hard to take in right now...I've known Kiev and Muffen for 4-5 years now, I met him the first time leveling thf in LoO. He was one of the original DVS3 members and was always...there....

It's hard to fathom that he'll not be with us anymore...

Rest in Peace bro, you will be surely missed. We had some great times in DVS and I knew, as well as countless others in DVS, you were always there to protect us in whatever we did. {/salute} brother

I just want to say that I'm truly heartbroken and my prayers go out to muffen and family. Kiev was a great player, and a true friend. He will be sorely missed. He was a great addition to DVS and I'm proud to say I had the privilege of fighting and adventuring with him for the first few years of my game life. Thank you Kiev. Fly with the Angels my friend.

Oh wow. I didn't know. With all the silly idiotic things people post on these websites and fight over here and in the game when something truely important happens it hits you like a ton of bricks. I remember Kiev fondly and Muffen is one of my best friends in game I don't think I really have the words to truly express my sympathy to Muffen and her family.

Aresfury here...

Wish you and your family the love and support you need right now.
Although I only knew of him in-game, I am sure the support here shows what a great man he was in real life.

I have not visited the forums for quite sometime and just happened to stop by today and browse...... :(

Although I was only in DLV for a short time; I am saddened and so very very sorry to hear about Kiev; what a true gentlemen and one of a kind player!

My heart and prayers go out to Muffen; I hope she can take some comfort knowing that she has a wonderful ingame family of support with you Alek; and the rest of her Shiva family here.

My condolences to muffen and family.

Being someone who has lost 7 family members to cancer, in the last 10 years, the only thing i can possibly say to offer even the slightest bit of comfort is... The pain is over, and he is in a better place.

R.I.P Kiev

I didnt realize this post was so old (the christmas day reference should have tipped me off). Either way im leaving my post.
