Looking for smart heady players that understand one simple fact kill the lich as fast as possible ignore the minions.

Really could use a MONK or 2.

Tips
Please have the MISSION started ensure you have the new Feiyin seal:

If your a BLM and want to go NUKE for gods sake use MANAFRONT.

Paladin please use invinciple/cover to keep BLM from dieing fast after Manafonting and best weapon skill not circle weak a$$ blade.

Wars Mighty Strikes before Weapon skill

RDM Chainspell

Monks Hunderd Fists

I really like to get this one out of the way ASAP.....

I think I posted in response to this on the Vault boards, but I still need to do it. I'm a 56 Rdm/Blm and am skilled in the art of annihilating things with Chainspell. Smiley: grin

Look me up if you want me along.

Kenyshyn. I would like to do this mission as well. I can join as either 53 thf/nin or 50 rng/nin. Let me know when and where and if there is room.

I didn't see any action yesterday but I'm still interested. My best dmg dealing job is still rng. I'm thinking that I would use fire arrows (skeleton weakness) to offset the loss of damage. I could also use cross bow and holy bolts for light damage effect. Barrage + Flaming Arrow + Eagle Eye Shot should still deliver some dmg, although not to the extent of a monk in this case.

To Ryld the Shady::::::

I have gotten my RDM up to 33, and never found the need to chainspell...never been in a situation where it would come in handy, and was starting to think it was the lamest 2 hour in the game...but its not beyond me to admit that maybe I just dont understand its use, or effectiveness...please offer any info you think may help me understand when and how I should be using my RDM 2 hour...thanks alot ^^

Well, in everyday use you will almost never use your 2-hour. It's generally only for planned situations and emergencies. I'll give you a few examples of those though.

Last week I was helping open Banishing Gates in Garlaige Citadel. I (like the horrible n00b that I am) made the dumb mistake of recasting sneak right next to an Over Weapon. It promptly aggrod me and started taking 150 point chunks out of my HP. I trained it back into the tunnel so it wouldn't attack the rest of my party, and did Chainspell > Cure IV > Cure IV > Warp. Instant escape, no deaths.

When you're a much higher level (58+) you will start to become relied on as the parties quick exit. If you've ever seen a Black Mage cast Escape, you know it takes forever. A Red Mage with Chainspell and a Blm sub can cast Escape instantly.

It's also a great way to close out a Chain 5. Say you just finish off Chain 4 and your puller grabs another mob. If you don't think you can make it within the time limit, try Chainspell nuking it to death.

In this case (the Rank 5-1 mission) there are really two ways Chainspell can be used to finish the mission. First, I can use Chainspell to turn me into a nuke machine gun, burning all of my MP to cause fast damage. Second, I can take on the role of tank. As the "escort skeletons" spawn, I grab their attention and then use Chainspell to keep Stoneskin, Blink, and Phalanx up constantly. It's not something you can do for long, but Chainspell + Stoneskin is basically Invincible. Similarly, Chainspell + Blink = Perfect Dodge.

Hope all that nonsense helped.
