Fyi ---> KrynostFollow

This is a bit lengthy, and I apologize for that. First off I'd like to warn any of you who are not interested in drama threads, to please just skip this posting.

Let’s start out with some background info on Krynost:

I have personally known this player for almost two years. Krynost joined a sky shell "NightDreamer" that operated from roughly 1.5 years ago, up and through this past December. This linkshell, like many sky linkshells, lasted long enough to get 90% of its members the items they had wanted, and then disbanded. Again, this linkshell ran for about 1.5 years, and disbanded in December of 2008, due to the fact that members just lost interest. Nightdreamer ran from 11PM EST-3AM EST four days a week. Typically, Sunday was the "Kirin Day" for our linkshell.

Roughly last summer, Krynost had a schedule change that made it so he could not attend events until 1AM EST. As this linkshell did not allow "rebids" on any particular god drops, where were doing multiples of that same god (Kirin), this made is so Krynost could really never attend the "Auction" portion of the event. That being the case, Krynost had a discussion with the linkshell leader (Limitedx) and let Limit know that he would not be attending events from that point forward.

Around the time that the dynamis entry fee was lowered (last summer), we decided it would be fun to go "farm" in Dynamis once per week. The dynamis shell was set up as a separate entity, separate shell, separate website, separate points etc. Krynost was an there with us when we started up this shell (DynaDreamer).

When the sky shell fell apart, the leader (Limitedx) decided to just concentrate on Dynamis farming, and we went to two days a week dynamis.

During the last several months, Krynost has come to a run here and there, and had never really given us a reason not to trust him. It was understood that Krynost joining "ORZinc" took up a good portion of his time, and this was not a problem for any of us from the dynamis linkshell. We honestly don't care whether members come every run or every other run.

The meat of the story:

Last night our linkshell did our first (yes, our first) Dynamis-Xarc run. It sucked for the most part, we got 3 Time Extensions and a little currency, but that's about it. Please understand that like many dynamis shells, Northlands/Dreamworld drops are done on an "Auction based" lotting system.

Our first and only piece of gear for the night was, ironically, Ninja. A player named Dearborn won the rights to lot with 30 points bid. A scene I had only read about then started to unfold... Krynost lotted a higher lot than Dearborn had; at what I'm sure he was thinking was the last possible moment. As soon as Krynost lotted, he dropped from the alliance and then ignored LS chat and/or tells for the next 3 mins while the treasure was still in the pool. After the item dropped to Krynost, he then proceeded to talk smack in the Linkshell chat for about 10 minutes before warping to White Gate.

So, in a nut shell, Krynost "Ninja" lotted the Ninja relic. Congratulations on your relic Krynost!

If you're interested, there are a few more trivial things I'd like to mention. If not, then the point of the post is above, and there is no reason to keep reading.

I spent a good hour or so talking to various Linkshell leaders in game, letting them know about what had just taken place. I had assumed he was still in ORCinc, and was disappointed that Milian was not online for me to "tattle" on Krynost. It was soon pointed out to me that Krynost had already left ORZinc, and was looking to Join "Bizniztime" (did I spell that right?). I attempted to speak with the leaders of that shell, but was informed that shell was "dead" and in the process of reforming.

I also spoke with Kerothesavior, a funny little taru I have had occasion to help out with various in game events from time to time and warned him about Krynost's behavior. (Remember who got you your ohat back in the day Kero!)

After talking with various players for about an hour, Krynost proceeded to send me a few tells.. Which I honestly can't wrap my brain around.

As justification for stealing another member’s relic:

"You think I'd let you get away with breaking my sky shell" - Remember folks, he had quit due to a schedule change approx. 6 months prior to the break of that shell.

"You had better think tqice b4 calling drama on the name of my father" - That's the spelling he used. Not really sure what this is supposed to mean.

"and the being that created you" - Not sure what he's trying to say here either.

The conversation then degraded into some attempt on his part, at using his religion to justify stealing. I'm really not sure where all this talk was going, but honestly it was 12:00AM and he started to give me a flashback with his crazy talk, so I logged and went to bed.

Perhaps he was drunk?

Sometimes it still amazes me how people's memory and hence their truth can differ so much from how others have experienced a certain situation.

I do wonder if there has ever been an endgame linkshell that stayed clear from serious drama from day one to the very last day of existence. Personally I think it's impossible cause the nature of these linkshells will always bring out the worst in some people, from cherrypicking to jealousy to kissing the leader's ass to ninja-lotting to trigger stealing.

or you could of had another ninja in the LS with high points lot over krynost instead of letting him steal the item.

Some people just dont use their heads.
I never get ninja lotted on in this game because I kick ppl from parties before they can do so. In the case of dynamis, you cannot do that. But you can easily prevent someone from ninja lotting by having other people lot on the item to at least prevent the jerk from getting an item in your shell.

A little advice goes a long way. Use that simple advice next time you go to dynamis with losers like this krynost character.

Yes, he was counting down the clock. He had messed up by about 2-3 mins, so we technically had time to all cast lots. Then again, we assumed for the first 1-2 mins of the time that Krynost had just lotted on accident instead of passing (we just weren't prepared for him to be such an ass).

Update: Krynost's current shell is "KirinNation". It should be interesting to see how that pans out.
