Ballista Server Transfer.Follow

Hey guys I just recently re-activated my account after about 3 years of dust, and I 'heard' that a lot of Ballista fans transferred to one particular server in order to concentrate their numbers. That being said, when I was still playing, I was an incredible fan of all levels of Ballista except for uncapped.

I was just wondering if anybody knows which server ought to have the most Ballista-ers, be it JP or NA (I speak both) in all brackets, and not just 60s. I've heard mostly about Odin and Siren, but that might just be hearsay. I'm currently on Lakshmi.

Thanks a lot!!.

AFAIK, last SE-sanctioned ballista championship was the last big publicity ballista got anywhere, aside from the mass relocation to fenrir(i think). Seraph Server's finalist team had 1 or 2 members transfer to fenrir, as well a few members from the runner-up team; I know of two; Hercules and Pabe. I know they moved, but AFAIK they have both moved back to Seraph. If not, Pabe isn't on the ballista server anymore, either.

You're best off just joining a server where you have the most friends now. :3 Aside from Herc and brightblade(I think he was on the team), no one else from the seraph championship team still plays. Hizumi still has his character but rarely logs in and is probably out of practice on Sam. <.<b

Kinda makes me reminisce about the old Sleepsheep legend. xD Back in 2004 when I first started and Hizumi introduced me to ballista, he told me of the legendary Sleepsheep on our server. o.o The elvaan samurai that once soloed 3 people and lived to tell the tale(uncapped match) I got to play with him a few times and I never got to see him play on his SAM, but he definitely had a great grasp on the ballista concept. Pretty sure Sleep doesn't play anymore. D;

Why not get Ballista back in popular demand? It can be whatever you make it. All it can take is just a small group of friends who just feeling like testing their abilities against each other to get the snowball rolling. There used to be (may still be) a linkshell called BallistaCorps that would do level 60 matches mostly though I think they did uncapped sometimes, too.

Personally, I've always wanted to see another Ballista tournament, but this time make it a 1-on-1 championship. If you have the time and patience, it could be set up in Diorama-Abjhalis, maybe among a decent-sized linkshell that finds it fun and challenging to size up each other through sparring combat. Or if you're into gambling, have any participating players put in gil to fight in the tournament and whichever player comes out of the tournament undefeated wins the pot. Just a couple ideas.

I havn't played FFXI in ages but ballista used to be practically my sole purpose of playing it really is too bad to here no one plays it anymore.
As far as the sleepsheep legend goes he was pretty good but nothing near unstoppable he used to love going SAM/WHM, if you really wanted to know who owned the ballista ring way back when look up sutela, he literally was a god.
I once saw that dude take on 6+ ppl alone with counterstance up and he survived it was madness.
