Sorry to hear that. You were allegedly hacked. If you think so, is there anyway you can contact Square Enix and find out the IP of the computer used to login to your account? did you give you passwords out to anyone?

It's a shame, but that is the risk people run for sharing their account information.

Do you use the BG forums and send your password through pm? If not, then you weren't hacked by taj. He did not collect the info through windower.

And you're saying that people IRL wouldn't do it? Just because they are IRL doesn't mean jack sh*t. They can still get into your account and take your sh*t and oh, I don't know, lie about it? Stop being naive, learn how to spell and punctuate, get a few points on the intelligence scale, and then come back and to tell me to shut up. :)

orly? We're just giving you your own advice. Stop trying to make yourself out to be an innocent victim in this. You're not. You posted here crying out you lost items, admitted to giving your login information to 'friends', and also stated not to trust A-N-Y-O-N-E. Honestly, get a clue and stop crying out you're 'less fortunate'. You're not. You're just an idiot who trusted the wrong people and got your stuff stolen. Big whoop.

I have had stuff stolen. Not on this game, no. But I've had characters hacked and taken from me on another game years ago. I didn't and never will cry about it because it only taught me a lesson- be smart about your security. Devilpup/Calderon said he was hacked months ago. Yet he did something that you also did; he gave out his password to 'friends'. Both of you left yourself open to get your stuff taken by people who could potentially back stab you and not say a thing. Lying is easy but telling the truth is a damn hard thing to do.

You say your friends aren't wearing the gear, right? There are other ways they could handle it. If I were them, I'd mule the gear to mules, sell it off, pocket the money, and not get big ticket items until later. Maybe even just level a craft or use it to fund another job. There are other ways of using that gil and equipment versus just using it out straight.

There is a saying out there, "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer." If you really cherished your digitized items, then why bother handing out the password? If you can't grasp that concept, then there is no hope for you. And you know what? It will just happen to you again, and the person laughing will be the one standing next to you feigning to be your friend.

Unless, of course, you downloaded something you weren't supposed to... ;\
