Couple looking for endgame LS.Follow

#1 Jul 13 2007 at 5:08 PM Rating: Default
Looking for a good endgame LS that has friendly people, very active, and no problems listening to member suggestions. A LS that rewards each member on amount of work and effort they give to a LS and not let people who rarely show up still get same rewards as the members that work hard.

Main things being looked for are LS that sell and split money from big events among the members that attend.
Does HNM, Sky, and Sea events /w good member turn outs.
Some job use flexability. (I know how important having right jobs is but sometimes it is nice to go a job you like or something different from time to time) I know some LS that tend to over do it with some simple events. Not really a important thing but still nice to have chance to use newly obtained gears in events.^^

Ayame(me)
Mains: SMN75 BLU75 DRK75 SAM75 BLM75
Melee SJ: WAR NIN SAM THF RNG
Mage SJ: WHM RDM
54+Merits

Squeax
Mains: DRK75 RDM75 THF75
Melee SJ: WAR SAM NIN THF
Mage SJ: BLM DRK
24+Merits

We both have Sky and Sea access. I'm past DM and Squeax still needs it.
Both finished CoP. I'm on ToAU 22 and Squeax is on ToAu13. Both have Sky, Sea, HNM, Dynamis, Limbus experience. I have some Salvage experience and minor Einherjar experience.

Thanks in advance~

Says the guy from the racist LS that starts a fight with a person for going DRK to a event and harasses them and starts fights. With sack holders that really do nothing to keep members under control...so yeah I'm going to be pissed and leave.
You guys need to grow up and leave us alone.

If you are scheduled to go to an event in your HNMLS, then you need to go as the job the leaders want you as. If everyone in an endgame LS just showed up with whatever job they wanted to play, not much would get accomplished since endgame mobs require specific strategies.

I can't imagine any HNMLS wanting your mentality in their shell.

1. Not me, I'll come every job I am asked to come.
2. Doesn't give anyone a good reason to act the way they did.
Not really sure what went on between my friend and whoever but I have a right to leave a event If I feel nothing is going to get done because people are just sitting around fighting and blaming each other if things aren't going right.

While I personally feel this situation could have been dealt with in a more orderly fashion, the way you two acted was quite immature as well. I wasn't there myself, however the thing's I have seen and heard about what you have done when you were removed from the linkshell certainly deserved some sort of action to jurisdict both of your actions.

The personality I have grabbed from your time in the linkshell was very poor and greedy. You asked if profits from HNM/Etc could be split multiple times. Sorry but no linkshell that I know of does that anymore. How do you expect people to show up to events if we can't fund them? How do you expect us to pay for abjurations when they drop off of hnm and so on and so on? Your reward is showing up to events and being useful to events gets your new gear so we better as a whole. I'm pretty sure that's one of the basic structures nearly all linkshells who do endgame content follow.

Also, going to events as the job you're asked to goto. If people take it upon their own responsibility to goto every event as the job they want to, how do you expect to get anything accomplished? This may now pertain to yourself exactly Ayamei, however your partner Squeax know's this very well.

So as far as anything goes in your next linkshell, I'de like to let you two know how I feel as well as anyone who else decides to allow you to join their linkshell. I'de like to hear your input and give you a chance to defend yourselves because there are always two sides to every story, one usually is always a lie though.

Have a nice day.

What Popanu said is true. None of the major linkshells sell and split drops from events (EC, Zen, AV, SF, etc) the money from drops goes into the ls bank to pay for things like cursed gear and dynamis/einherjar fees. Some linkshells out there may use a points system that allows you to trade in points for gil and I know those systems exist but I havent heard of any of the major linkshells using that system on Ragnarok. I know there used to be some lower level "HNM" linkshells that would fight stuff like Simurgh and Roc and Serket and sell and split those drops but those usually ended up breaking with the leader running off with everything. Good luck finding what you're looking for, but just realize almost no linkshells are going to hand you gil nowadays.
#11REDACTED, Posted: Jul 15 2007 at 6:51 PM, Rating: Sub-Default, (Expand Post) I have never once complained about money from HNM drops. That wasn't me, while in some ways I agree with her...gil was never an issue to me and Squeax wasn't being greedy she just merely stated that it didn't seem fair that members who attended more events than others may have never got any recognition for their efforts and that it seem to easy for people to leech the banks. I don't know the details of what she was saying about it really.

I more then likely wouldn't have commented on this thread until it was brought up that our linkshell was infact "racist". I'm not really into the whole online arguing thing, so I'll leave it at that.

Holy ****, I lose internet for a few days and look what washed up here.
Anyway, to sum things up;
- I went DRK to Limbus, nobody directly told me to go RDM, anyway.
- Nobody complained about it until we reached the 2nd last floor.
- It wasn't an official run and was funded by the attending members themselves.
And seriously, it wasn't a hard Limbus zone to begin with.

Furthermore, it is not greedy if everyone gets a share that is 100% identical as each and everyone that attended the respective event, thus I even feel it would be more fair overall, not to mention it would save yourself some administrive fuss.
Now, from that share the players themselves, can buy their normal AH gear, food/meds, their cursed gear and pay for their own damn event fees; Seriously, if they wont show up because the LS wont pay for them, then I'd say you got bigger issues going on.
For clarity, I don't feel the distribution was ever the problem. If you felt I was trying to demand change or anything, I apologize, for this was not my intention.
In fact, I even explained I just like to debate, gave my fair share of arguments, but apparently it is considered a personal attack. :-(

Though all in all, I attended every run I could, and did my best at each one. Got complaints I died too much at that very Limbus, which was basically just because I took hate from hitting too hard, I wasn't even involved in 70% of the fights because I was weakened.
On the side, I find it pretty funny everything was done via Ayamei whilest it was me who was the whole issue, I didn't recieve 1 tell, and when I inquired about it myself, got brushed away, good job.
All in all, some people need the stick removed from their rears, sacks without backbone need to learn to stop stuff like this from happening and other sacks need to work on their IQ.

I am sorry if I may have caused trouble in Tactics. But seriously, start at yourself next time, and a bit of objectivity wont kill you.

I've been considering coming back, but I just don't know if I have the time to play anymore. I spent all my time previously playing ffxi schedualing real life around it instead of schedualing ffxi around real life.

Tried WoW, that lasted like 3 months- it sucks imo. Went back to good old D2 for a little while; it got boring but was still better then WoW.

Everytime I go through my old ffxi screenshots I look back at the conversations and arguements had in my old linkshells and get nostalgic. :/ If I can get my real life friends to play ffxi again instead of WoW I'd come back in a heartbeat, but they seem to be having fun with WoW :/

point being?

Someone posts something about Finairealm, we have to derail the thread to make fun of Finairealm. Why? For the "lulz" that they'll never be able to be Finalrealm again. Oh, and the rampart account buying they do. More "lulz".

/derail off

Endgame is a waste of time if you have a life. RL > pixels.
