I was recently marvelling at how low the cost of shihei is now, after briefly taking up NIN again for some CoP missions. So, upon commenting to my LS that soon it would be so low that you could buy it from AH and sell it to NPC at a profit, I realised that it already WAS that low!

Yes - shihei toolbags were going for 28k a stack, but can be split-up and sold off to the NPC stood 5 in-game feet from the Port Jeuno AH for 29.7k, even with a zero-fame mule. A quick search on ffxiah.com for the dodgy-sounding sellers (Ssaa and Dsnn) showed they'd been auctioning it for as little as 26k that day - unwittingly doing themselves out of thousands of gil profit.

I know that shihei price rockets at weekends (the above figures were on a Thursday evening GMT), and ffxiah.com showed no other server was averaging so low, but I still thought this was an amusing testament to the mindless machine-like nature of RMT...

We've known this for a while now.

Also it just looks really funny when in certain time periods and entire area, like say Qufim ONLY has RMTs xping in it.
