Triumvirate wants you! A whimsical LS, we would technically be classified as a 'Social Linkshell' but we do more than socialize ;).
We are just striving to have a group of friends that can/and does function as a well oiled machine when need be.
We have a bare minimum of rules.
Understanding and practice of Human Decency required.

Serious about joining or just curious about us, come visit us over at Triumvirate-Forum

Applications are generally answered very promptly

Shellholder: Julianne
just fill out an application on the forum or send a /tell to Juli or one of the other Leaders or Officers shown on the main page.

We don't mind part timers either. there are a lot of dynamis and HNMLSs out there, so we understand it can be hard to switch LS's, much less commit to a new one.

Check us out, our site is in the process of evolution, heading towards an FFXI database of sorts.

Dominuse is a good man, probably a good leader. I recommend that anyone who needs a linkshell to check them out.

shouldn't you have posted this, say, as its own topic?

i mean, i'm no english major or anything, but i think this thread topic is
"Social LS looking for members" and not
'Looking for opinions on a social LS.'

i'm sorry to hear that your sick of your social linkshell, but this isn't really the place to complain about it.

perhaps you should utilize this thread.

Good Luck in your search for a Non-Social LS.

I should have apologized before-hand about a possible hijack. But i know that with your notoriety and standing in raganrok that my reply wont affect your recruitment.

About my own thread... i have seen quite a few posts in the rag forum looking for a non-social linkshell. Most of all have gone un-answered, except for some HNMLS replies. (You can look a couple pages back and see.)

At the moment, im in the high 40's main-job-wise. Too low to be in a dynamis, hnmls or other high level linkshells, but at the same time starting to get to that level where things are happening. I neglected the sticky at the top of the forum-somehow- and thank you for pointing me in a right direction.

As you can tell, im having LS problems at the moment, and i am sorry for bringing them to your thread.

no worries ^.~

i understand where your coming from. IMO we are only classified as a 'Social LS' because we are still low*ish* in numbers. while we do have a very broad range of levels within our ranks, helping out for almost anything is a given (somethings require large numbers, in which case we just hit up our friends lists').

the ball is rolling stronger by the day, and if your having problems with your LS, checking us out couldn't hurt.

The fact of the matter is that prior to level 65, there's not a hell of a lot to do other than socialize. I must admit, "Social Linkshell" doesn't mean "Nothing but talking about random stuff." Quite the contrary, Social Linkshells are great ways to get advice and strategies on a multitude of things. Also, -60 event linkshells are likely to be empty other than on the days that your events take place. All in all, "Social" Linkshells are a great way to make friends and have Mission/Quest companions. It's all a matter of finding your niche. If you decide to give Triumvirate a go, I'll always be on to give you a hand and offer my advice or opinion. Although I'm just starting over again, I know a great deal about how the game works, and if you give me some time, I'll be able to beat the crap otta stuff with you.

Just keep this all in mind while looking for a linkshell. Best of luck to you.

There is a stigma that's associated with simply not being a linkshell that does dynamis or camps HNMs. It's an incredibly unfair label to assume people who aren't in those type of linkshells don't want anything done and all they ever do is chat. I wish that people would realize that there are a lot of linkshells out there who are friendly and care about people beyond profits who are serious about getting things accomplished.

I have a good personal friend who is a member of a self proclaimed "social" linkshell (more than a chat, less than an HNM) who managed to get all the items needed for a black belt without having to change her values or join another linkshell. She did it on her own terms with people she wanted to have around. For me, that is priceless and a real testament to the power of friendship in so-called social linkshells.

I wish I could say that people didn't often ignore linkshells that are social because they don't take them seriously. If they did they might realize that working as a team there is much to be accomplished and the value of helping others is cumulative benefits to seeing someone who joined at level 20 be level 70 and extending their wisdom to others.

There are things to do way before 60. Garrison, BCNM's, Missions, Expeditiotnary Force,Ballista, Small group farming, skill-up sessions, AF parties, ENM's (I think), Holiday Events, Treasure Hunts (+ RSE hunts),NM hunting, etc..

Not all of these are fun, easy or super-rewarding. The point is there are things to do. The fact is that dynamis, HNM's, etc post 60 offer rewards that are far greater compared to good number of 'events' I just described. They are rewarding, but just like the lottery, everyone has their eyes on the main & biggest prize.

Also, im not saying social linkshells dont get things done, or help people out. Many of the people that are in the shell come there to socialize, and relax.

You're absolutely right, my point was that you're not going to find any LS that's dedicated solely to one of those things. Like it or not, technically all LS's are "Social." There's not a doubt in my mind that there's a Linkshell on our server that has a full roster of members under level 60 that love to do quests, missions, you name it. They do exist, I used to be in one. The only point i was trying to make, was that social does not (always) equal chat, and that while you have a lengthy list of activities that are obtainable at fairly low levels, none of them are nearly as popular as HNM hunts or Dynamis. I'm not trying to flame you or anything, just trying to explain some of the benefits you may miss out on if you decide not to join up with any LS.

Isn't posting petty comments about other LSs in a recruitment thread just sending them a message that you're spiteful and immature?

Why would prospective members wanna join a LS that seems to hurl insults publicly to other LSs? Seems like a bad message to send, in my opinion.

But if insulting other LSs is raking in the members for you, more power to you, there's a huge list of them to bash on readily posted on the main Ragnarok forums.

Goodluck in your endeavours, regardless of whatever happens :)

Thanks for blessing this thread with your paramount understanding of what you think I or other posters mean. Don't take my personal comments as representing Dom's LS.

Did i say 'social' Linkshells suck? no.

Did i say I hated my social linkshell and wanted to leave it, or even mention my LS by name? no.

Am I a part of or did I say I wanted to join Dom's linkshell? no.

Kaostails did say something about axiom, but he didnt mention wanting to join doms LS. Dom himself didn't flame any other LS's nor did he stand by Kaos's statemnt. (as far as I know)

Gotcha, and i wasn't trying to flame you, or social linkshells as a whole, or even my linkshell. I was just ranting about my want to be in a more event-based LS. Thankfully, and happily, the previous replies towards my post were helpful and constructive. If i did get the opportunity to join such a shell, I would not ditch my old one, I would try to spend equal amounts of time with both.

Kyzoku, I apologize for making you feel like I was on a tyrade (sp?) against what you had said.

I was referring to the petty comments issued by some of the posters toward the Axiom-online LS.

Forgive my vagueness. :)

It should be obvious at this point that I left your LS cause no one was ever online when I'm online. Got really lonely ;p. But the times I did get LUCKY and catch you all online, you're pretty cool people. Quite possibly the nicest bunch I've met in a good long time.
