Newish Player looking for LS / friends to play with Follow

Hi everyone!

I used to play ffxi right after it came out, but didn't play for long, so for all intents and purposes I'm new. I've played a ton of mmos both casually and hardcore over the years like EQ (used to post here when I played but can't remember pw or email I used for that matter) / wow / vg / dII / swg / daoc / gw etc etc. Recently I've been playing a lot of rts type games like sc2, but I decided to pick up ffxi again for that classic mmo feel and the atmosphere more focused on world immersion than power gaming. So far it's been a pretty relaxing departure from the typical competitive gaming atmosphere I generally spend my time in.

I'm still really new and there's a lot I don't understand fully, so I'd love to have some friends to show me the ropes and whatnot. The jobs I have leveled thus far are: 32 red mage, 15 black mage, and 10 puppetmaster- currently I'm 10pup/5rdm. The jobs that interest me the most are puppetmaster and blue mage; my favorite part about ffxi is the many unorthodox 'classes' to choose from, and those two caught my eye. As far as main jobs go, I live little interest in playing the jobs that come across as the standard mmo class archetypes, but I'm open to anything for subjobs.

just got back 2 days ago, cant get other account back that has been gone for 8 years i guess, so starting a new. I was from Ramah server (which doesnt exsist anymore) and looking for a Social LS. kinda sucks being solo and not around other adults that enjoy a great game like this. I know what I have to do in game so I wont be a burden and ask for help lol like I said I had every job class and kicked Matt's ass with 5 different times....just missing ...well friends to hang with... thanks
