..who might be bored enough to maybe show a newb the ropes. Just started playing a week ago (loooove the game btw) and although I've been using the wiki, I'm having a hard time making gil, understanding crafting and some of the game mechanics. I started a monk in bastok and switched to whm after reading up on the job. Made it to rank 2 and level 11 whm.
Been hanging out in Selbina trying to find a group for dunes but I guess people are leery of a newb healer. So if anyone would like to maybe point me in the right direction, or a LS that caters to players of all skill levels I'd appreciate the help. My name is Darknaz (I know, its a horrible name but one I've used for so many years on other games. Thanks in advance for any help.

These Server forums are pretty much erh.. dead, by the by (Well, slow-moving, at least).
I'm not sure if I qualify as a "veteran" player, but I'm at least knowledgeable to get people started ;-).
We're a small, mostly gmt linkshell, and just had a few newer players (well, 2) join, so that might work our for you.
Most of us online don't mind helping out, and with some newer members it'll be easier to get nation / CoP missions done.
Send me a /tell ingame on Findanniin, I'm on rather often, or feel free to leave a post here.
That said, outside of gmt hours the shell is rather empty, so if you're pst and keep "normal" hours, you migth be in for a bit of a disapointment.
