Why can't people just leave "evolve" type NMs alone instead of always resetting the timers? There would be a lot more people with Vilma's Ring, Spelunker's Hat and Rain Hat if people weren't always trying to move the respawn to a a time of their choosing...

I've been camping Noble Mold since about 10:00 last night and it was about 6:55 this morning when this 65RDM/30BLM named Airchenk showed up and made my camping meaningless and then warped out:




For anyone that don't know how Noble Mold works, it only spawns during the rainy season in Zi'Tah (the late April and the month of May in-game), and it takes roughly 15 days for a year to pass in-game, with months taking a little over a day to pass in real life. Also, it only spawns during water weather, not rain, since it rains during thunder weather also... and it spawns for the first time 21-24 hours after the rainy season begins... to top it all off, if either of the two placeholders are aggroed or killed, the 21-24 hour timer resets.

This guy MIGHT get lucky and see it pop before the rainy season ends, but still, he's just an example of a sh*tty player who has no consideration for others.

I believe this NMs pop conditions are so harsh because it is named after a rare disease in grapes, making for better wines.

Who would want a hat with such bad stats anyway?

Also it's not a bad mid-level item. Beats most of the hairpins for non-BLM mages pre-50, and I don't care what everyone else says, I like the look of the Austere gear.

Comparatively speaking it's probably not worth the effort for most, but it's also kind of a trophy of sorts, like the Spelunking Hat.
