I Killed the "Cats People" Gil SellersFollow

I had been leveling in Boyada Tree all day. 3 of the "cats people" were there hunting Aquarius. They were "Catsears"- the DRK, "Catshairs"- the RDM, and "Catsninja" the NIN. I know these ppl are gil sellers and don't speak English, but i was bored. I asked "Catshairs" if he was a gil seller. He replied "NO OR YES!". I asked "Catsears" the same question. His reply was "yes". Then i asked him if he was scared of getting caught and he replied "I don't speak any english".

There was also a lvl 75 BST there camping Aquarius. Eventually Aquarius popped and the "cats party" got the claim. I felt bad for the BST who was playing the game for fun. The cats killed Aquarius with no trouble and left for a couple hours. I went to Jeuno to get Signet and to buy and sell some items. I got a tell from Catsears saying something in another language. I replied "I dont know how to answer that question."

I go back to Boyoda Tree and the "cats party" is there. Eventually they get Aquarius again and it didn't seem right to me. I went about my business and pulled a crab and was fighting it when all of a sudden something went off in me. I released my pet, charmed the crab i was fighting, and released it near Aquarius.

The Cat ppl kept moving and i kept re-charming and chasing them and releasing my crab to link with Aquarius. Eventually i got them to link and the NIN died. The DRK and RDM were running from Aquarius and the other crab and i got a crawler. The RDM raised the NIN and he joined in the chase again. The RDM died and the NIN and DRK went to the zone. They kept zoning and re-entering while the other one would keep the claim.

I was keeping my LS up-to-date the whole time and they informed me the "Cats WHM" was on his way in the Sanctuary. I released my crawler near the entrance between the zone the the 2 living cats. The NIN got killed again and by the zone and the WHM arrived. He raised the NIN and got attacked by the crawler. I don't know what happened after that because i followed the other 2 and Aquarius back towards the main room.

And then all of a sudden, my screen freezes, downloading data begins, and i appear in "Mordion Gaol" - Prison. A couple minutes go by and [GM]Kemorrak says "Greetings. I will be with you shortly." A few more minutes go by and he says "Why are you charming crabs and then uncharming them near other monsters to make them link?" I said, "Because the cat ppl are gil sellers." He said, "So you are trying to train them". I said "yes". A minute goes by and he says "I am only going to warn you this time. If you train again, you will be suspended do you understand?" I said "yes, thank you." And then i was at my HP in Port Jeuno.

Not long after that i get a tell from Catsninja saying "?" and a tell from Catsears saying (and this is how he spelled it) "Fuak You!"

So am i a hero in Phoenix now or was i wrong for MPK'ing? By the way that was my first ever MPK.

P.S. The final body count was Catsninja- 2 deaths, Catsears- 1 death, and Catshairs- 1 death. CatsWHM- MIA

We'll excuse me for being a little nonappreciative here, but I've never believed in taking the fight to the gil sellers, through MPKing. You break the rules to get revenge aganst people who break the rules to show that break the rules is wrong! How much sense does that make?

It's not like your saving the world or anything, your just killing off some poor chinese kid who's working tooth and nail to make some yen or whatever they use. It's not like they wakes up every morning thinking "How can I @#%^ over all the honest players today!" Gilsellers are people too and deserve the basic respect that all people deserve.

Really, if you don't like gil sellers don't buy gil. It's not a hard concept. MPKing them is just wrong. After all, an eye for an eye makes the whole world go blind.

Zygous, you are incredibly ignorant and really shouldn't post if you haven't a clue what you're talking about. I won't even get into the fact that you advertise yourself as being a monk/dark knight. The Chinese don't use yen, that's Japanese currency; the Chinese use yuan. Secondly, the gilsellers are not "poor Chinese kids." They're people who work for companies that sell gil and other MMORPG monies, probably sitting in a row in some warehouse or office building, and take shifts playing the characters for 8 hours at a time. That's the only explanation for how the Cats Family went from level 40 rank 1 to level 70 rank 5 in the space of about 4-5 weeks, multiple people playing the same company-owned characters. They are not players who log on to play a game, they are invaders who exist within the game. And they have killed people in the past and they will show no regrets, because they have none nor will they ever. They have harassed hundreds of actual players in a multitude of ways, including killing off the pets and prey of virutally every beastmaster I know who has ever tried to level in Korroloka Tunnel; stealing every single NM they can get their hands on in any way they deem neccessary, including linking mobs to NMs to kill players who have beaten them to the claim, etc etc the list goes on.

Sidebar: Catsears does speak English, so at least one of the people who play the character has a functioning grasp of the language.

Make of it what you will... When I checked the price of a Scorpian Harness today, I noticed that Catsninja bought one.

From what i see... i think they are probibly aiming for HNMs... which is something that the other gil sellers are incapable of doing.

I second that thought. I can only imagine what kind of hell it will be to fight them off when I get to HNM levels.

To the person playing devil's advocate: I respect your opinion, but I care not about people who ruin a game for everyone else. I agree the best thing people can do is to stop buying gil, but that doesn't mean the people selling gil are not in the wrong. I can't do anything about people buying gil, but I sure as hell can make it hard on the people selling gil.

They've already moved on to the lower HNM's. I've seen them with Serket Breaker and Roc Star titles many times.

This isn't an entirely bad thing in my opinion though. HNM ls's are brutal and often MPK other HNM ls's (At least from what I've heard). On top of this everyone knows the time for pops and everyone will be competing for the same HNM's. There will be no way for them to monopolize the HNM's but they will get some spawns and make a good amount of money off of them. The only difference is when they gain they gil it won't go to buying uber l33t +1 gear or leveling another job they will simply sell it. To me this seems to have a lower effect on the economy than 24/7 camping stroper and being the only people to ever sell a damn archer ring. The other ls's will always give them competition.

On top of this they are a 6 man group. They will do the Jueno HNM's and maybe some others but they will never advance to God's or things like King behemoth or the beastmen HNM's. They possibly couple but risking those types of HNM's with 6 people especially when every other HNM ls is out to kill you is a bit stupid.

Then again they ARE gil sellers.

No, HNMLS don't MPK each other, if they do, the member that does it usually gets kicked from the HNMLS. Only other time is if someone steals a HNM and doesn't give it back. Happened last week at Serket, it was stolen from Genesis by Loster, Happysky, Trainer, Pater and Wishes. Let's just say those 5 got more than they bargained for.

As for MPK'ing the Cats, Good Job! ^^b They MPK people all the time and don't get squat done to them, the other day they MPK'd a SMN fighting Aquarius, Luckily a friend of his managed to get Aqua back from the Cats as they were forced to zone.

The GMs seriously need to take note of the Cats as they MPK all the tie and as Ironmike said before, it was his first MPK and he gets taken to jail. SE really need to sort this problem out, not by changing the location of certain drops either, or nerfing mining and fishing.

Even though I wouldn't do it myself, I don't have much of a problem with ppl MPKing gil sellers. It's not the fact that they get the pop that bothers me... it's the fact that they can afford to ignore everything else in the game, and get every pop. No quests, no missions, no levels, no equip issues, nothing but taking their target NM out of the game.

Also, I'm certain that there's a fairly witty remark about curiosity waiting to be made, but I can't quite seem to come up with it. ;)

Yes, brisko, "Loster, Happysky, Trainer, Pater and Wishes" and all the ninjas are all together. I really don't know what they are really up to at this moment, but last time i have seen them all together is at Qulun Dome getting testmonies i believe. They even death warped out too. Yesterday I was with my static Warrior to camp an axe in Kuftal Tunnel and saw all of them, i checked Catshair, and his title is Serket Breaker.

Seems to me that they are on the HNM already before us :(

Maybe they will sell the account too after they are done, who knows.

BTW, MPking is not right, reguardless to gilsellers or to anyone in the game. There are always other alternatives.

I think you're right about different people... their whm(taru) came up to me in jeuno one time and said "Hey babe, how's it goin?" o.0 Guess it's the whole female taru thing... and being so damn sexy XD But yea, some do speak engrish.

I've noticed that that huge group of DRG has turned up missing (Babs, Billyr, Alvins, etc.). But a notorious few have not been dealt with.

Check the AH history for Serket Rings (they've sold 3 of last 10). Be scared.

Is it a room or what? Is there a screenshot of it? I'd like to see it (without getting in trouble myself).

The moral of the story is never to MPK gilsellers cause u will go to jail, and that you should always let the gilsellers do their job. They're people too, they just play the game differently. So leave them alone!

I think it's definitely true that the Cats people are played by different shifts. One of the shifts must be composed of complete and total @#%^s while the other shift is composed of people that aren't so bad.

I remember cursing Catsninja out in Jeuno when he set me on /follow and really pissing him off.

Then when I saw him again in Kuftal Tunnel with the rest of the entire Cats crew, my party wasn't so great and we were camped in a pretty bad spot. The Cats team ended up saving our lives over and over and over instead of letting us get killed by the crabs everytime they linked. Catsninja didn't seem to remember me at all.

They even healed us while we were fighting to help keep us alive. o_O; After a while they kind of waited for us to pick out whatever crab we wanted first before hunting themselves, that way we could get whatever monster we wanted first instead of them just wiping out everything in the area. It was really odd.

Maybe, just maybe "cats" are really working for SE>>>
