Nah, your timezone just didn't match, in all honesty. Our prime play time start about right now. 3pm PST, 6pmEST when ppl get home. And end around 12am PST, 3am EST. You usually log off by 1-2pm PST, so it just didn't match up. That's why you didn't get a chance to attend many events, you weren't online when we did them, lol. All of our scheduled weekly events are 8:30pm EST and beyond.

It's also how real life companies fail. (Not fail, persay, lose employees, lose customers, etc) You never assume, unless the person has told you specifically they will never do -insert whatever here-.

Kenny wouldn't let me add him to his friend list, Joey was always afk, Xingoo and Tianya were rarely online.

Don't want to turn this into a drama thread but honestly, rejecting someone because they don't know what plans you guys have is a bit unfair... and the fact that no one even told me until I managed to catch Joey when he was actually at his keyboard.. I think it went like this:

Me - hey, anything going on in Kupo
Joey - um, you didn't get in
Me - why?
Joey - you didn't go to any events and no one knew who you were, plus you spam Alla which they didn't like*
Me - ...ok
Joey - something about wanting to have sex with me. He does this a lot.

*he honestly said this. I guess having fun and talking to people is not acceptable, then.

No, it was because they didn't like my attitude on Alla. Or that's what I was told, anyway. Yes, we talk some smack, but we aren't nasty with it, and we try to get everyone else to post... they just won't for some reason.

I think I met about 4-5 people from Kupo in total, outside of the ones I knew. It's just so unwelcoming... guys, if you want people to join, you have to help them out, you know? Yes, you don't know me, but remember that also I don't know you, and there's a lot more of you than there are of me...

I asked a couple of people in game about why it's like this tonight and got a fumbled excuse and then silence. I guess it's not just me who's confused by this whole mess, then.

I can't remember if I applied to Kupo or not after I quit Singularity. But when I was in Singularity back in 05 (WOW IT'S BEEN 5 YEARS SINCE THEN) we had a group of Europeans in the shell that did a few events during EU time zone and camped and got spawn times so NA time could camp when it came into NA time. And on Saturdays and Sundays NA started at 9AM PST so EU would still be on.

Having multiple timezones in a shell works good when people communicate effectively.

Oh speaking of old FFXI times. I talked to Mijin in Aion 2 months ago. We reminisced about everyone hating him. I then showed him this picture.
