Well I was afraid this would happen after reading all the forums about account bannings over stupid things like changing account information or credit cards. I activated my account on the first day of NA PC launch, I have been a loyal customer since then... and what do you know, LM-17'd. I didn't know that the fact that my credit card had an expiration date meant I was RMT :(
Well its been lots of fun guys. I hope you are all safe from the ban monster :(

Right, Vincevalentine, because all of the people SE has banned for credit card issues... in fact all of the threads and pages of posts from people furious with SE BECAUSE of the credit card issues, they are all lying to you and it didn't really happen that way, right? Your helpful attitude and makes you the perfect candidate to become the next SE Customer Service Rep. Please, don't let this career opportunity pass you by.
I'm very sorry to hear about this happening to you Serena. It's just a glitch though in their RMT ban tools. I hope you appeal this decision. It's b.s. any of us have to deal with this nonsense, but we'll all miss our fellow Pandy members more if you leave for good. Good luck in whenever you decide.

Yeah I got an email from SE actually saying that my account was banned because of a credit card charge back, and they provided a special number for me to contact in reference to it. Of course the email also said there would be an online chat available through May 30.... Hmm... Honestly, at this point I'm just too fed up to even bother with them. Eventually I might give that number a call and get things sorted out. I'm afraid that if I were to call now, I might say something that would get me 17'd for good hahaa

Your card charged back? Maybe you should go to work. I'd say I'm sorry to be an @#%^, but I'm not really sorry. If they banned me for something like that, after all this time, I'd be kinda thankful. The game's on it's way out. Maybe you should be happy they gave you a reason to not blow your money that you don't have since your card rejects payments.....
I'm just being a giant douche, because I'm tired of the crying that comes along with getting banned. When I got a 72hr ban for that stupid Nyzul duping glitch, I was ready to quit. Then they let me back in, and GDI I haven't left since. I can at least pay for it though -.^

Getting LM-17 for a failure within SE's billing system is somehow the OP's fault and them complaining is crying yet being temp banned for abusing an exploit which you knowingly do is somehow NOT your fault? Entitlement at its best. The OP wasn't crying or whining they actually said that it sucks that SE had a failure in system and said goodbye. Not "OMG WHY ME I DIDNT DO IT SAVE ME" like the majority of the "crying" people did.

My biggest regret in my time in FFXI is that I never had the pleasure of grouping with such a quality player as Vincentvalentine.

So liek...what do you guys do ingame now a days? The last time I heavily participated in endgame was back in Spring of 2006. It's been over 3 years since then. I can't imagine where I'd be right now ingame if I hadn't quit.
