Don't you remember, the battle between the Star League and the Ko-Dan Armada was the whole point of the movie. Alex was just a side character meant to get you more involved in those interesting Galactic politics, just like the Star Wars prequels. Smiley: wink

Technically, the article doesn't actually say that the film drops the video game angle, and neither does the Variety article that article links to. Just says that the series does not pick up directly where the film left off. I tend to avoid assuming that the title bars on web pages are even remotely accurate sources of information.

That said, there's still a high probability this will suck.
