You have no soul. As soon as I heard the notes from the original theme song I peed a little.

On one hand, Starlord commanding a squad of raptors is a pretty awesome image in and of itself. On the other it brings back memories of Shia "Mutt" LaBeouf commanding a squad of monkeys through the trees.
I liked the book (Books? Were there more than the one? If there were, then I only read the first.), and the first movie was definitely amusing. I may see it on impulse, but it seems to fall in between Age of Ultron and Ant-Man, two movies I won't miss.

The Lost World the book is SOOOO much better than the movie. They never leave the island, so you never get the cheesy 2nd half of the movie,& if they had adapted it correctly it would have had even more Jeff Goldblum & crazy Chaos Theory.
I'm more excited for this than Ant-Man, but I've kind of always hated Hank Pym (even if I do love Paul Rudd). I understand the suspension of disbelief is going to be incredibly high with Jurassic World & it's hybrid-dinosaurs & tame Raptors, but come on.; the image of Starlord leading a pack of Raptors to hunt a mutant dinosaur while riding a motorcycle, off road, through a ******* JUNGLE is so awesome that if I had a ******, I'd be pregnant because of it.

I remember reading the book as a kid, then seeing the movie, and being a bit disappointed.
In the book, wasn't there a scene where they were trapped in a shed and encountered a dinosaur with chameleon-like abilities? I remember really wanting to see that scene in the movie. But instead I think we were given a scene with the new black daughter (who either wasn't a character, or was a combination of characters, I can't remember) doing some gymnastics and kicking a raptor out the window.
The Pterodactyl scene from the 3rd movie was in the first book, too. The experience of seeing the first one in a movie theater with some friends at like, 14 is still remembered fondly (I think it was the first time I touched a boob, too) that I really enjoy all the Jurassic Park stuff. Ya, the **** with the T.Rex in San DIego in the 2nd one was silly as was most of the "plot" of the 3rd, but at least the 3rd gave us Alan Grant & lots of action.
Add Chris Pratt to the mix & I'm so there.

Thinking of the female raptor scenes in the third movie made me think of Raptor Red just now. I read it back in school around the time of the Jurassic Park releases if I remember right, and recall liking it a lot.

I don't know how I missed the Genetisaurus reference in the trailer. That makes me want to see it just because that's going to be a train wreck. Bets on it being Raptor and T-Rex?

Nothing new except for the end. Where previously it had an amazing visual of Pratt riding a motorcycle through a jungle with his trained raptor pack, it has now been replaced by the raptors riding motorcycles.
Which would be incredibly hard to do for even the smartest animals that lack thumbs.

I imagine it's supposed to bring back memories of the moment the raptors were discovered to be smart enough to open the doors in the first movie. But "extreme."
I guess I should watch it before commenting. Just watched it and it definitely seems fake. I assumed it was additional footage with a raptor doing something with a bike. But looking at it it is just modified existing scenes, even with wheelies. It can't be real.
Now the question is whether Omega trolled us all or fell for it himself?
I fell for it too, as the video was embedded in an article I was reading about the new extended trailer.

Saw it today with my brother and parents. It was fun. I think it was worth the ticket, pretty much exactly what I expected. And for a movie with a 2 hour 10 minute runtime, it went by pretty fast. There were a handful of dull moments when it tried to explore the relationships between a couple of the characters a bit, it kind of failed at that, but they were few and eventually dropped.
Not a lot happens during the movie. And the kids aren't quite as annoying as the first movie's kids. For the most part they are just along for the ride, not taking any major roles in the climax or conclusion. That's left to Pratt and his lady.
No during/post credits scenes, but some things during the movie do appear to have left the possibility for more movies. Of course, Jurassic Park never really needed an opening left for a sequel to occur. Life, uh... finds a way.
