Kill la Kill
This is by studio Trigger, the same studio that did Little Witch Academy and is comprised of people that came from the studio that did Gurren Lagann. The animation for this show so far is top notch, and the show itself seems to have all of those perfectly ridiculous elements. Give the first episode a watch and you'll know if it's for you or not.

Log Horizon : 25 Episodes
This show is set inside an MMO where you can't log out, but there's no imminent threat. When you die you apparently simply respawn in town. This gives it a much more laid back feel. The MC is a strategic thinker and plays a class that focuses on helping the party and can't actually do much of anything on its own. In the past the MC lead a group of people, not a guild, who became pretty legendary and were known as Debauchery Tea Party. If SAO wasn't what you were hoping for, this might in fact be what you want. Allegedly there's a lot of OTP as opposed to harem shenanigans.

Unbreakable Machine-Doll
I wasn't expecting this show to take the direction it did based upon the picture and character designs. It's actually pretty serious, full of action, and there's magicks. The MC is what's known as a puppeteer, someone who uses magic to control and fight with automatons. He's has a pretty strong driving force and isn't a beta when it comes to females advances.

Outbreak Company
If you're an avid anime watcher and/or otaku this show many interest you. Japan accidentally stumbled upon a wormhole to another world that's full of different races and all that fantasy jazz. And so the MC is appointed as somewhat of an ambassador who's supposed to spread anime, manga, moe, and all that otaku stuff to them. There were a lot of references that caught my interest, one in particular was when the MC mentions San d'Oria. There's a delicious half-elf with a petit build, a loli queen, and the MC is a total otaku hentai who loves little girls, or something. I personally had a lot of fun watching the first episode.

These are what I've decided I'm following this season. I may pick up one or three other things though.

I'll be watching Yuusha ni Narenakatta Ore wa Shibushibu Shuushoku wo Ketsui Shimashita because the premise amuses me. I'd read the manga, but I could only ever find one translated chapter. Anyway, hero goes to defeat the Big Badâ„¢, but ends up not making it in time and someone else does it. So he's left with no other choice but to find another job in the post Big Badâ„¢ world, and ends up as a retail clerk. Not much need in the private sector for his skill set and all. Anyway, he's doing his job when a new employee comes in and it turns out it's the olde Big Badâ„¢'s child, and he's in charge of training.

Boobs and panties galore goes somewhere in that description.

Oh, yes that. I will probably be watching that too if only because it has some of the most highly skilled animated fanservice I've ever seen: http://images.bluegartr.com/bucket/gallery/3a4c8a6539d6300730bf8e49e1d1c4c9.gif

I don't think I'll be on the edge of my seat waiting for the next episode every day like I am for Log Horizon and Kill la Kill though.

Kill la Kill's 1st ep was awesome. Not interested in Outbreak Company, but I am giving Golden Time, Kyoukai no Kanata, and Infinite Stratos (don't judge me) a shot.

I was following the Unbreakable Machine-Doll manga for a while but lost interest in it. Might had something to do with it not getting around to the MC story and plot with the dude in the mask(forgot his name being to lazy to go find it) and focusing on the other characters more. If it covers the first two or three arks it should still be a good watch. Might watch it when it's finished but not going to follow it week to week though.

I did DL Kill la Kill and Yuusha ni Narenakatta Ore wa Shibushibu Shuushoku wo Ketsui *********** I plan on watching them tomorrow while I wait on my car at the shop. I never really like shows set in a MMO. I like anime and MMOs but just don't find the combo interesting.

This season seems to offer more then the summer did but not much jumps out at me to follow weekly or buy when it comes out on Bluray.

I'm not sure I really want it to keep that pace. There's no denying that the first episode was pure awesome, but it'd probably get really old really fast if that level of crazy kept up non-stop through the whole rest of the series.

I ended up picking up Galilei Donna as well. The cute loli engineering girl is just so cute. I'm literally only watching this series for her. The first episode didn't do much in letting me know what's happening though.

Also picked up yuushibu. It's going to be my fanservice show this season. The voice actors are surprisingly almost all new. As to what prompted me to look up the VAs: http://vocaroo.com/i/s1Pcc1fZzpjl

Just finished watching the second episode of Log Horizon now. And holy @#%^ can it be next week please. They did a good job of continuing to explain the game mechanics. There was a fight with involved teamwork, strategy, explanations, and satiated my want for action. And there was much cuteness via Akatsuki. This show is shaping up to be an order of magnitude better than I thought it would be.

We're going to be watching Golden Time, perhaps. If Overly Attached Girlfriend was a hot anime character, this would be her series.

"Oh, you went to another college to get away from me? That's so cute. I've transferred too. Tee-hee!"

Kill la Kill is a re-interpretation of Revolutionary Girl Utena. I was all like "Oh, there's the Saionji character. Oh, she's Utena. And that's her Wakaba. Oh, student council president, not surprised. Oh, chairman of the school board, really not surprised."

It's like watching a new version of your favorite childhood show, but instead of it being terrible, it's ******* awesome. Kind of like how My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is.

I feel obligated to mention that there was already a fall anime thread. Smiley: glare

Anyway, regardless of how absurd booby plate is, I do believe I'm going to rather enjoy Walkure Romanze. And seconding Golden Time. It seems to have some great potential after a couple episodes.

Threads that have titles that don't make you think they have anything to do with the subject matter don't count.

Outbreak Company episode 3 was completely different from the first two episodes. There was strategic thinking, a well animated fight scene, blood and injuries, and some silly cross world shenanigans.

Kill la Kill episode 3 was also quite amazing. Words really can't do it justice. Just go watch it.

Log Horizon had an underwhelming first episode, but the second episode was much better in that it focused on game mechanics. The characters and plot seem a tad bland, but as long as there's more strategery I think it'll turn out to be the best of the genre so far, not that it has much to beat.

Kill la Kill will probably be the best of the season, and while it's enjoyable it could use a little more substance.

Gingitsune seems to be about par. Probably a slice of life type series with a sub plot exploring the co-lead's past.

Watched the first few episodes of Log Horizon and Outbreak Company. Enjoyed both of them, though I was disappointed in the second... from reading the description, I thought Outbreak Company was going to be the anime version of Gate: Thus the JSDF Fought There. Still, this one was pretty good too!

Log Horizon author is a @#%^in' bro. Going to buy the LNs when I have some money. http://archive.foolz.us/a/thread/95479152/ The show just keeps getting better as well.

Unbreakable Machine-Doll stepped it up for episode three as well. I'm incredibly glad that I picked this up, but incredibly annoyed that I can't marathon it and have to wait a week for the next episode. I'm probably going to end up reading the LN since volumes 1-3 are translated. Also to note that if you watched the uncensored version there are tits, and they're not silly boing boing fanservice bullsh*t tits either.

Engineering loli from Galilei Donna is continuing to be olev. She's waifu tier material.

Kill La Kill also continues to deliver, as does Golden Time. They're like complete opposites in terms of animation style and attitude,so I think they're a good balance.

I'm actually kind of "meh" about Log Horizon now. It's good, but it doesn't really bring anything new to the MMORPG anime genre aside from "you can get KO'd and respawn." I'll give it a few more episodes.

Agreed on KLK and GT. Haven't started Log Horizon yet but I've got all the eps waiting for me.

Log Horizon is lots of talking, scheming, keikaku, and stuff. It's not an action-packed anime that everyone can quickly and easily get into. But if you do end up liking it, it becomes something you have trouble waiting a week for after every episode.

Also lolololol at what he's about to do next episode. So lawfully evil. He's going to buy the guild hall so that people he doesn't like can't use it; effectively ruining the base of operations and storage areas for everyone who's doing 'bad' stuff.

While I've been enjoying Log Horizon, I have to say episode 6 made me roll my eyes. Soooo much drama over guilds. I know this is their "real world" now, but it's still just a tad over the top.

"I'll never join a guild... wait, no, I'll make my own!"
*Cue gasps from everyone*
... it's just a freaking guild! And I was disappointed it wasn't named Debauchery Tea Party Smiley: glare
