Arrested Development S. 4:1 (8.3%)

I don't have Netflix:1 (8.3%)
I have Netflix but haven't seen any of their original series:5 (41.7%)
Total:12

No real deep topic here. The wife and I started watching Orange is the New Black but got distracted by watching all of The League so OitNB is on hold. We will get back to it though since it entertained. I've heard generally positive things about Netflix's forays into original programming and figured I'd waste some electrons on a poll.

I realize that Arrested Development stretches the idea of "original" programming however Netflix produced the episodes specifically to be distributed via Netflix so I figure it counts. They distributed season 2 of some cartoon called The Problem Solverz but that was originally intended to be shown on Cartoon Network so I left it off the list. I left off singular films, comedy specials, etc 'cause I care more about the series.

I have netflix, but do not watch any of it's shows. It is odd that I don't, because I don't really watch TV as I picked Netflix over TV. Only thing I watch on TV is Tosh.0 for the stupidity of it and the ghost stuff on Syfy (on Wed nights) and other Ghost-shows (ghost Adventures? It is on Travel on Friday nights usually). So out of an entire week, like 2.5 hours.
I however watch hours and hours of stuff on Netflix :/ From anime, to stand-up, to cheese movies, to foreign, to oldies (80s-90s).

I've heard nothing but good things about Orange is the New Black. Hemlock Grove was awful, though.

I have Netflix, but haven't watched any of the originals...yet. I'm trying to catch up on my teenager geekdom by watching the old stuff right now.

I don't currently have netflix, though my Amazon Prime is coming due very soon. I might switch my monies to netflix.

I still have a big tv screen vs computer screen hump to over come.

This summer my husband set up an outdoor theater on our deck using a projector and his laptop. It's not really something that can get moved inside though as the screen is too big.

Not sure if related or not, but I was digging through Youtube's gutters this morning and I notice they have a rental service. You can rent movies on Youtube for something like 99¢, or at least the Troma movies I saw said that. Struck me as amusing.

There's a bunch of relatively inexpensive options for streaming to your TV. Roku, Chromecast and things of that nature or video game consoles, cheap PCs, etc. We use a Wii to stream Netflix to the TV (which is the only thing the Wii is used for these days) and I have the family computer hooked up to the TV as well. Some streaming options from HBO are only available online and not through the cable "television" (don't ask me) so at least I can watch them as God intended.

^ this.
And also, Amazon Prime's TV Shows/Movies are almost the same on Netflix. So unless you want some of the Netflix only stuff, Amazon Prime > Netflix (free 2 day shipping!! I am assuming you order stuff, if not then Netflix > Amazon P).

Amazon has the better selection of more modern titles, Netflix has the better selection of older ones (but you get original programming).

But it's not a super extensive list. I think I subscribed to Amazon Prime because I was sick and I wanted to binge on Avatar. Pretty sure they have Grimm, too, and Netflix doesn't.

Oh, and they're the exclusive online streaming service for Downton Abbey.

We have Amazon Prime as well but I've never used it for watching anything. I think my wife just has it for the free two-day shipping.

OisNB is one of the best shows I've seen in a very long time. That and the Walking Dead are probably the only two shows my wife and I can agree on.
