So Monty Oum (of Dead Fantasy fame) is heading up a new anime over at Rooster Teeth, called RWBY. The first episode premiered last night, and I guess they're aiming for weekly releases, of varying episode length. I found it pretty entertaining. I don't watch many anime, so maybe it's terrible and I just don't know it. I enjoyed the weapon animations. The voice acting was alright. Nothing too special, aside from the prologue being narrated by Jen Taylor (Cortana from Halo).

So, I missed your post on it and only found it while adding new Simulcasts on Crunchyroll. I thought it was pretty awesome, though I'm only two episodes in. The world building makes it sound kinda Dark Souls-like, with the threat of the inevitable return of darkness.
