Showing on Reelz here in the US. I didn't really hear anything about it until about 1 hour before the premiere last week, a commercial on BBC America if I remember right. 8PM ET on Wednesdays.

I didn't read the books. So far it seems pretty interesting, but at the very least it's an interesting time filler for a dull Wednesday night. It has commercials, but they seem to be ever 14-16 minutes or so, 3-4 minutes long. A little better than the 8 minutes of show, 4 minutes of commercials on BBC America shows.
