The writers hate (nearly) everyone on this show...

It's starting to look like Kirkman is hating everyone in the book, too.

Even dead Lori drags the show down. Governor's ZomBomb strategy was messed up if you believe in morals and such, but effective. I preferred Rick's psychosis in the books more than in the show. It was much more subtle, like you think he's keeping it together but in reality he isn't. Strong end to the episode, much better than last week.

Fairly decent episode this week. Am I alone in thinking the whole idea of virtually everyone is expendable is wearing thin now? Other than that, I am sort of looking forward to the juxtaposition of Rick's and the Goveror's insanity.

Three things I liked:
1. Daryl is back!
2. Michonne speaks!
3. Minimal Andrea!
Axel getting a comic style out-of-the-blue death was neat. He did make a nice meat shield for Carol. That whole attack was a pretty cool way to set things up for the eventual showdown.
And what the hell happened with Tyreese and his group?

According to Robert Kirkman on the Talking Dead, they left the prison when Rick snapped and they may or may not reappear at a later time/place.

I'm hoping he makes it back, as he was a major character in the comic. I know that doesn't mean anything with how they handle the show but still, he was kick-***.

I guess they can take what Tyreese does to be a major character and move it to a different story arc, since Jail seems to be almost over and we're already pretty far past where he does his thing and I really hate spoilers.

Zombie Curb Stomp!

Andrea: still awful.

If this were on HBO/Starz/Showtime, her scenes would be filled with lots of nudity to make up it.

Zombie boob doesn't really sound appealing.

Michonne was much more likeable this episode and Carl gets called up to the varsity next week.

I also liked how the rat was like "***** you for using me as bait" as it casually led the zombies to Michonne and Carl.

I enjoyed the bit at the very end. The hitchhiker they passed at the beginning is dead on the side of the road, they stop, back up, take his supplies, and drive off.

Tonight was great. The scene with Rick and Morgan was pretty powerful. I almost teared up. And I'm glad to see them warming more toward Michonne. The paper-mache cat will look nice in her cell. Smiley: bah

Fantastic episode, easily the best episode of the season.. Awesome that it was written by the new showrunner. It gives me high hopes, provided he doesn't get fired too.

My first reaction was that I missed an episode. Then as the episode progressed I felt that Rick, Glenn, and Beth were all tactically idiotic. What kind of moron sets a face to face in a dark enclosed space hand-picked by the opposition? Just **** in front of the zombies and keep an eye out! Best of all worlds! Seriously! I'm also noting that it seems to be Hershel's place to mention how Rick saved everyone's life once or twice every episode. I didn't go into the episode expecting as good an episode as last week, of course, but even with the lowered expectations I found myself disappointed.

I'm trying to figure out which character is the most worthless to the series, Lori or Andrea. On one hand Lori had the decency to die, but on the other hand she still appears once in a while to ruin everything for the group, where as Andrea has been just constantly bad.

I found it kind of amusing that Andrea did the Smiley: rolleyes when Daryl and Martinez were one-upping each other. Since, you know, she never does anything stupid.
I read an interview on IGN with Kirkman where he said next week will be an Andrea-centric episode. So we've all been warned. Maybe she'll finally extricate her cranium from her ******.

Oh boy, it was an Andrea episode. Gotta say I was kind of impressed the Governor got out of the death trap, but then I remembered that it was Andrea that put him there and it was destined to fail.

Also, GEE I WONDER WHO IT WAS THAT MADE ZOMBIE BARBEQUE.

It was less horrible than I expected. Not a great episode but not a failure either.

I have to sayI have absolutely zero pity for Andrea. I think the writers tried to make her destiny to look as dreadful as possible to make all who hated here (everyone?) feel empathy towards her and forgive her. Did not work for me. Maybe if the Governor starts torturing her that'll change but most likely it's either a last minute rescue for her or she dies while saving someone the viewers actually care about.

While it's pretty obvious that Milton burned the zombies at least he grew a backbone.

Edit: Grammar.

I'm hoping it wasn't Milton; too obvious.

You are? I would be comically trite and stupid to leave viewers with no other possibility then "surprise" people with it being someone else. Not impossible for this show's idiot writing team, but unlikely, I'd say.

Rick, obviously. He's borderline retarded and hallucinates. Andrea is transparently a demonstration of how modern liberal sensibilities would be unrealistic....in a zombie apocalypse. Why the fuck anyone thinks that's necessary, I'm not sure. I try not to yell "please die" constantly when she's on screen, but I can't help it.

It could have been team Rick, but I was kind of hoping it was the dude who bonded with Daryl in the previous episode. Obviously it was Milton, I just don't want to be beaten over the head with the big reveals.

Boy, after the Morgan episode, this season sure has sucked again, eh?
