I was flipping through the channels this morning, and saw this come on HBO. It said it was a "Hilarious Comedy" in the description. It had Steve Martin, Jack Black, Owen Wilson... so far so good. I watched it, and I cannot say I would describe this as a comedy. And definitely not a hilarious one. It wasn't a bad movie (at least, in my opinion) but it seemed more like a drama centered around a silly hobby (bird watching).

Anyone watch it, what would you categorize this movie as?

I've seen bits and pieces of it, and based on them, I have to agree with you. I didn't see anything that would make me consider it a comedy (unless you count the meta-comedy of how odd bird watching is as a hobby). Strange casting for what really seemed like a dull drama.
