Have you heard that they're coming out with a TV series about this guy?

I had never heard of him before reading the article about the show, but I thought you might be interested. The only downside is it's going to be on the CW, so there's a chance it could turn out to be angsty teen balderdash meets superhero, which would be terrible.

I know of him and I have heard and seen a bit for the show. I can't wait to see how they make a guy who dresses like an elf and shoots arrows with boxing gloves on them dark and edgy.

The last show I watched on the CW/WB/whatever you want to call it was as episode in the 3rd or 4th season of Smallville. I hope they can do this Arrow show properly, because TV really does need a superhero show that's not animated.

Sure that'd be nice, but it's not happening on the CW because that's not what they do. It been years since I last watched anything airing on the CW, but I know they're going after the young adult demographic. Their current line up according to Wikipedia is entirely teen melodramas.

The Green arrow show is going to star a protagonist mostly likely in high school, possibly early college and it will have lots and lots of relationship problems. It will be watched by girls, *** males, and some confused nerds thinking that a show starring a comic book character might be targeted at them.

Yep, that's what I was afraid of when I saw the channel it was airing on.

I would love to see the guys at USA give making a superhero TV show a shot. I honestly cannot remember the last live-action superhero TV show that was any good. The only problem I can see with making a superhero TV show these days is which superhero do you use. Batman, Superman, and Spider-Man, the 3 most obvious choices, have all be done so many times the show would get compared to the movies and would probably fail. They need to make a superhero TV show about a 2nd tier sueprhero. Somebody that everybody has heard of but who hasn't had 12.5 movies made about him.

This guy has some pretty good ideas about making a Batman TV show.

Luke Cage and Danny Rand are perfect for a live action show. Heroes For Hire would be amazing.

I thought it was just a spinoff of Smallville.

It kinda is, but they're not using the same actor wo played the Green Arrow in the few episodes of Smallville he was in.
