I saw it today, it was actually very good. At first I didn't think I was going to like the whiny kid from The Social Network as Parker/Spiderman, but he did a fairly good job with the role. Actually, as far as acting goes, everyone did a pretty good job. The special effects were well done, though the CGI could have been better. The action sequences followed a logical flow, and you could tell where things were in relation to each, something that has been lacking lately in action movies. I saw the movie in 2D (I really hate those damn glasses) so I couldn't say what it would look like in 3D. There were only a couple of scenes that looked like they would have benefited from the 3D, so I think I made the right choice on that one. Overall, I'd say it was worth the trip to the theater.

One thing that bothered me though, while I've only been to New York once, I don't recall ever seeing large numbers of small lizards crawling around the place.

My thread is way cooler than that thread. Also, you can tell what mine is about from the title.

If you want to get picky about titles, yours is missing a hyphen and a capital letter.

The fight scenes were the best animated Spider-Man fight scenes ever, and I'm counting everything from the Toby movies to the 60s cartoons, simply because of how he used his agility and webbing. I didn't particularly like how Garfield's Peter was quick to steal credit for creating the webbing, though. Or, you know, everything else. That kind of got under my skin. Also, that was a lot of lizards just wandering around, which was weird for me since I've never really seen anything like that outside of the zoo and I've lived here most of my life. Add that to my other post in the clearly superior thread and you've got my overall opinion of the movie.

I dogged 3D movies (because of the glasses) until I went to the wrong showing and had to watch it in 3D (or not wear the glasses and watch a blurry movie). Totally hooked now. I already wear glasses 80% of the time, so I assume people who do not like the glasses do not wear glasses/sun glasses/party glasses (the 3D ones are even big enough to sit over my regular ones with not much of an issue.)
And this Spider-Man movie was made for 3D.
