This thread is the one thing from /k/ that I don't want hidden in a single thread of randomness, so it gets its own. A bit of filling in for those who don't know what the hell is going on: This is a thread about a series that several of us are more or less watching together and discussing. We ended up selecting Heroic Age.

We're now on week 6. Spoilers unnecessary for episodes 17-20. Discussion about episodes 21-24 in spoilers.

Are you taking about the anime with the five space "tribes" (Gold, Silver, Iron, Bronze, Heroic) that's supposed to determine the fate of the galaxy?

Nah, the other anime named Heroic Age. Bad morning sarcasm aside, yes, that one.

Ok, I wasn't sure because your little fan fic in the other thread threw me off.

That was a character backstory for a Pathfinder campaign in which I stole a name or two from Heroic Age because I was feeling lazy.

So, remember how I ******* during week 2(or was it 3?) about the effing cliffhanger? Yeah, I take it back. That one was nothing compared to this week's cliffhanger. One thing has me wondering, though. What happened to Age's request that Ioalaus come find him when he gets lost? I mean, I thought that would have been during the time in the void zone. Though I guess he could get trapped there again in the near future since he's about to fight the other one again.

It's midnight. Onward to finishing the series. Everything before the last two episodes requires no spoilers.

It's been a good while since I watched the series, but I know I ******* loved it. Without saying anything about it other than my opinion, the ending was rather bittersweet, imo, and I'm still not sure it really sits well with me, but that happens a lot with anime, because my idea of a good ending and japan's idea of a good ending are very, very different (ie: they like open vagueness, I like ********** closure[/i])

Except if it were baby photos, it would be like looking at before and afters of Michael Jackson. Only instead of turning into a white guy, he changes into a chick!

How was the ending vague? Didn't Age come back for her and take her to the place where the Golden Tribe was living now?

as far as I can remember That question was left hanging, for the audience to decide. But like I said, it's been a while, so I may just have forgotten, and as a result, am thinking of some other similar series.

Regardless of whether he took her to where the Golden Tribe was or simply stayed with her on this side, I don't think it matters. In the end, he came back for her and wherever they live after his return, "they lived happily ever after" probably sums it up pretty well.
