In the past few weeks we watched through the Season 1 twice (once with commentary and then once again without). Then I started rereading from Book 1. Figured I could use the refresher.
Season 3 can't come fast enough. GoT is like the one fiction show that I can be bothered to keep up with on TV nowadays.

Asha Greyjoy is one of my absolutely favorite characters.
I find her, along with the rest of the Greyjoys, pretty interesting. She strikes me as one of the more even-keel characters of the series, which is surprisingly unique. I'm eager to hear more from her.
A little less so for basically everyone in Dorne, though. I can't keep any of those characters straight, as they don't seem to be of any major consequence right now. I suppose I should be patient with them, though, since I sort-of felt the same way about the Greyjoys early in their introduction. Perhaps there's a warming-up process that needs to occur. With such a large compendium of characters, it might be natural to be a little hostile to yet more names, lands, and deeds that need memorizing.
