They know we want it back, but no.. King of the Hill for 2 hours. Does anyone even like that show? I thought it was retarded when it was on Fox. CN needs to buy another channel and just name it Toonami so kids of today can see the awesomeness that is/was.

Yeah, I like King of the Hill too. It's not my favorite show, but I find it entertaining. It does take a while to warm up to though. A lot of the characters seem pretty boring at first, before you get to know them.

I hate pretty much everything about stereotypical Texas, so I pretty much detest the show.

I don't know if it was the creator's intention or not (although I'm guessing it was), but the show seems to be a satire to me. Pointing out all the ridiculous things about Texas and the people who live there, and exaggerating them. I'm not a big fan of hicks in general, no matter where they're from, so watching hicks get made fun of helps my enjoyment of the show.

I remember when Moltar was the host of Toonami. Ahh, the good ol' days.
On a side note, if Wikipedia is to be believed Toonami is coming back on April 22, 2012 12am Est. Hopefully they are getting rid of all that garbage that takes up most of Adult Swims lineup. (although being on Saturday I doubt that will happen)

I don't think that's true, Wikipedia isn't showing that date any more.
So I'm half way listening/watching tv when Loiter Squad comes on. For the record, I'm not particularly fond of any of the live action shows on Cartoon Network, but when you put a black guy dressed as a cowboy on a horse, and his only line is "I stole this," I'm left laughing my ass off. Well done.

Think I read they are getting new shows to run but the press release on ANN was vague so it could just mean new shows that were not on when it was on air. Well here's to hoping.

DeMarco added that Toonami will not be showing Naruto, Dragon Ball Z, and similar titles since "the rights to those shows are owned by our competition or are out of our price range." He continued, "Something you should know about THIS Toonami: We have very, very little $$. This experiment will need ratings success to receive more funding for new shows, more [mascot character] Tom animation, etc. I'm thankful for the $$ we've gotten, but it isn't a lot."
DeMarco also clarified Adult Swim's May 16 press release, which said that the network is developing "new original anime programming" for Toonami's return. Toonami will not have original titles created specifically for the programming block, "just new acquisitions." DeMarco said that he personally "love[s] One Piece and would love to see it on CN again" along with Gundam Wing. Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, Fairy Tail, and Inuyasha: The Final Act are some of the "many shows we've been looking at" or discussed.
DeMarco confirmed that Steven Blum will reprise his role of Tom, which "will be an updated hi-res version of Tom 3.0" aboard a slightly different but almost identical version of the spaceship Absolution. The anime titles will keep their theme songs, and Toonami "will make our own 'pre' intros."

Yeah the two new shows are strong shows and worth watching. Though Casshern Sins animation style might turn some people away but I liked it. And Deadman wonder land while short was still interesting. Hope it does well enough to go though with getting some of the shows they were discussing.

I'd love to see a one piece dub that doesn't suck, and/or at least hasn't been totally brutalized by the censors. I'm sort of in agreement with gundam wing, though I could probably rewatch it, since the last time I watched it was subbed, and I haven't actually seen it dubbed in ages. Definitely a @#%^ no for inuyasha, but a strong @#%^ yes for fairy tail. Also, while I'm 100% in favor of Panty&Stocking with Garterbelt, because it's one of the most outrageously funny shows I've watched in years, there's absolutely no way in @#%^ they could play that sh*t on @#%^ing adult swim without censoring it to death, let alone regular CN. The FCC would have a field day with that show...

I stayed up to watch Deadman and Casshern, 2 shows I knew nothing about when they came on (not a fan of Bleach, I've seen Full Metal and Bepop, and never got into the Ghost in the Shell). I liked them. Deadman was a little weird, but I guess it more will be understood with more shows. Casshern was neat and I enjoy the style it is done in.
