9:00pm EST on AMC Sunday. Looks like they're going to marathon of season 1 starting at 2:30pm.
I enjoyed watching it Mondays while I was over in the desert, and I can't imagine I won't enjoy the new season. Though, I have the same purist fights with the voices in my head while watching it due to having read the comics. Anyway, here's your heads up zombie fans.

Michonne needs to show up, ASAP. I know Kirkman's involved, but it kinda seems like the show is more "inspired" by the comics at this point.
Still excited about Season 2, though.

oh yea! Thanks for reminding me. And the way I see if, the comic and the TV series are just 2 different stories in the same world that uses the same people
I saw the ads for this while I was watching The Shining earlier. I didn't see the first season (I didn't even know it existed). I set my dvr to record it, but am I going to be lost without seeing season 1 or should I be able to pick it up and enjoy it?

Season 1 was only like six episodes, so catching up wouldn't be much trouble. I'm sure there's a few things that'll be relevant in future episodes so it'd be worth watching. I will say I hope it gets to the Jail Arc. I feel that was the best storyline from the books.

Totally saw the ending coming before it happened. Didn't help that the commercials every five minutes showed the sheriff running through a field toward a house holding his son with a bullet wound. Or so I assumed; if it was a zombie bite he wouldn't be running with him, so it had to be a wound of some kind, and bullets made the most sense.
Nice sign from God, by the way. God says you done f*cked up, I guess!
Yea it was a Gun shot, and yes they are headed to a house. They seem to be going on with the graphic novel, but a different path to get "there". Many things in the TV show did not happen in the GN (the end of season one, Sophia "missing").
Daryl is a completely new character, completely outside the comic lore. And thus far he's such a piece of GOD HERO. Holy freakin' crap no matter what the situation Daryl is there to save the day! Considering just how useful he is, I don't imagine he'll be living very much longer. Anyway, we've thus far proceeded to the Farm arc, and Shane continues to live.
Overall, I'm enjoying the heck out of this series.

TV Maggie is much cooler than her comic counter-part. Hopefully Andrea is gonna follow suit...

If you are catching this via DVR, it's really worth it to catch the half hour show afterwards called The Talking Dead. I only caught the one after S2E2, but found it enjoyable.
I had Netflix (well, I was paying for it, but never used it for some reason) before the change. I honestly don't know if I they just converted my account after they split the DVD service from the streaming. Either way, I caught up using other means, and absolutely loved the show.
Holy freakin' crap Shane managed to be worse in the TV series than in the comics. Seriously, I'm actually enjoying the show more than the comic and I can't think of a single instance where that has ever happened for me before.

The original Blade Movie, perhaps?
On topic; I wonder when the hillbilly's (who's awesome, btw) brother is gonna show back up?

Rumors I've read suggest that Michonne is going to be introduce in season 3, and she gets introduced about the same time as The Governor, and my theory is that Merle (Daryl's brother) is going to take the place of the Governor and that Sophia will be the little girl.

Not a bad episode, but there have certainly been better. Daryl is going insane, which I kind of figured something would happen with him. Like I said, he's been way too useful and most likely to survive a zombie apocalypse, which means he will die soon. What I don't like is just how useless Andrea is being made in the show. In the comics, she's one of the strongest people in the group. Here she's a useless fuckup that can't do anything right.
I also like knowing major plot points, but the method the show is getting to them is different which makes them surprising none-the-less. It's kind of like driving a different road to get to the same stores and keeps things interesting. "The Barn" was a major plot point, and I was patiently awaiting it.

Andrea is driving me crazy. I never really liked her anyway. She may have been a strong character in the comics (which I never read), but she's really damn annoying in the show.
