I wish Yuji died before the beginning of the first season.

Still wishing that after this season? :P

While the ED was fairly bad, OP for Mirai Nikki is decent, and is a good display of of the insanity present in Yuno.

I like about 1:19 into it, where Like I'm going to really spoil it. If you read it, you already know. If you haven't, it'll mess with you if you've already read the manga. Kudos. The song reminds me of something from .hack.

That's because Ali Project performed a lot of the music for .hack//roots, and Yousei Teikoku (who performed the Mirai Nikki OP) is very much the same kind of sound. At first I thought it was Ali Project.

LOL. The OP has so much Yuno love that it's scary.

Indeed.

I'm actually kind of sad that in this week's episode it turns out he's just possessed. Makes the plot much less intriguing. :(

Only 2 eps in so far, but it's shaping up to be a good one (though what I thought would be a major plot point turned out not to be).

First episode of Last Exile was subbed today, so check it out!

Also, the ending of Mirai Nikki bugs me because the 9th and 10th are shown out of order.

I'm not really digging the direction of Persona 4 so much. Thus far the big shadows have been inner reflections of the person they refuse to admit exist. And how do they stop the shadows? Not by killing them... by accepting them, and thus they become personas. Totally lame. So far it implies all shadows are just parts of ourselves we can't accept. Totally a weaker plot than Persona 3, where Personae were innate and shadows were released by a company who messed with the fabric of reality.

On the plus side, it seems like the series should last a while; after three episodes we're only like halfway through the first month in the series. So it might get better.

What abilities were you wondering about?

Nothing really specific... but you'll see dialog in the show that mentions how the Archer class has solo skills or how Saber was using an ability to keep her sword hidden. This got me curious about what other abilities exist and specific bonuses each class receives.

The Archer class (as in anyone summoned as Archer) gets an ability called "Independent Action." Independent Action allows Archer to survive without a master for a certain length of time. How long will depend on their rank in the skill, and the maximum possible is ~2 days. What that usually translates to is that Archers can be hard to control and not necessarily loyal if they don't see eye to eye with their Master's goals.

Saber's using an ability of her own called Invisible Wind because her actual sheath for the sword was lost. It's an ability that THAT specific Saber has because of who she is, not because of the class she was summoned to.

So you probably need the Type-Moon wiki to sift through. I linked to the Servant page for you.

Oh, if it wasn't obvious, THERE'S A LOT OF SPOILERS on that page. Don't scroll too fast if you are spoilerphobic.

Ah Yuno... nice and crazy. "Good night Yukki" had all the creepy factor I had hoped to see from her in the anime. Mirai Nikki hasn't fallen flat at all so far; though I need to reread the manga to see how close it is keeping to the story.

Man, I snatched Fate/Zero because it sounded interesting from you guys talking about it. It seems pretty good, so thanks.

almost sadly, h-game materiel has some of the better plot this season. The dialogue is robust, and the fight betwen saber and Lancer was actually clever. Lancer used his first noble phantasm to deceive her into dismissive her armor so he could use his second to permanently wound her, all without having flashbacks and explaining exactly what he did.

Phi Brain is definitely my dive show of the season. Aside from just recently completing it's individual introductory characters for each of the MC's friends, it is now revealed that the MC's parents were killed by puzzles, and remembering this fact has traumatized him so greatly that he is no longer able to complete puzzles.

No. 6 better look out.

Last Exile, Mirai Nikki, and Fate/Zero haven't disappointed me yet.
I found Boku wa Tomdachi to be very amusing, but that might just be me.
Guilty Crown is nothing special, but it's got some decent music.
Ben-to and C3 are mediocre, but watchable.
Phi Brain is just... apparently puzzles kill people, not sure how I even ended up watching this show.

Also, that penguin hat is totally Momoka reborn.

There are many more shows that I'm watching, but don't really care to mention them unless someone else makes a comment about those other series.

Carnival Phantasm - Six 13 minute episodes that all make fun of Fate/Stay Night, Tsukihime, and other Type-Moon works. If you've seen at least Fate/Stay Night, I'd recommend watching the first episode. Most of the jokes in other episodes are focused around Fate/Stay Night as well, but a good chunk are from Tsukihime as well. Anyone else check out this special at all?

Thanks for the heads up Xypin, I'll be checking it out. I seen enough Fate to not be lost on the "You lost me" jokes.

I'm watching 6 shows this season (just check my MAL, don't feel like copy-pasting), the ratings I have for them are just first impressions. Most likely will change by the end of the season.

I think I'm finally gonna catch up on Mirai Nikki tonight, been putting it off for things like Dark Souls, and Front Mission 3 (lol).
