Just saw "My Ordinary Life" (Nichijou). It certainly has it's moments. Anime style does seem off, but it fits the theme perfectly. Good call on that observation.
2 episodes in so far, and i don't hate it yet.

Also watched "Dragon Crisis". For a harem~ish anime, i thought it wasn't half bad. It's one of those anime's that could have been epic, if only it went more than 12 episodes.

I thought Dragon Crisis was extremely cute, I liked while having some harem-ish subplot the main character really never instigated anything, and I really liked the last episode, I thought it was really well planned for a 12 episoder.
It does seem short because its based on a light novels that are on vol 9, and still ongoing? I think I haven't found anyone translating it just yet but there has been some people asking.

If you interested in Light novels (lots of animes based on em) heres a page; http://www.baka-tsuki.org/project/index.php?title=Main_Page or for Durarara! http://anni-fiesta.livejournal.com/

Hoshizora e Kakaru Hashi: Seems like its going to be a cut and paste harem with a dash of ecchi. Boy and his younger brother move to little town, boy meets girl and they connect. But boy has been here before and made a promise to girl B who hasn't showed up yet. Animation is decent, the anime goes for the big eye on everyone look. Another filler anime IMHO.

Armored Trooper Votoms: Votoms Finder ?OVA series? Basic Mech anime, first I thought it would be mediocre and it kind of is but was still a fun watch. Has a very Robotech type animation style based off Armored Trooper Votoms a 52 episode anime back in the 80's. Neat back story hopefully they built on it well.

Also Seikon no Qwaser 2 started for those who have seen the first series. Interested I did a quick wiki check to see If i should go watch it and heres what I found:

Wait WHAT?! Uhmm anyone have any info on if I should watch this or not lol.

Story about fighters with the power to control different elements called Qwasers (can be male or female). The main character controls iron and fights against qwasers that can control elements such as Copper and Gold. Every qwaser is paired up with a woman and uses breast milk as a power source (ok, it's more than that and it actually does have a big role in the plot, but I'm too lazy to explain). The show might be disturbing to some and the plot is even weaker than Queen's Blade. Beyond that, the fights were decent. If you NEED action, have nothing else to watch, and can get past everything else (or just love animated tits), then I guess it's worth watching? I think the first episode was a pretty good example of what the show is like as a whole.

Ok, so the plot might not be as bad as I make it out to be (except the whole breast thing), but it is nothing great and definitely ridiculous. I probably should just stop, but just to show the ridiculousness... according to the plot, the whole breast milk power source is supposed to be connected to Christ (shown in episode 1) and it plays a fairly major role in the plot near the end of the show. I will repeat though- it is a pretty good action anime if you can look past strange fetishes and ludicrous plot. The sad part is that the first season was 24? episodes long, it was wrapped up, and now it was given a second season.

Yeah, well, Legend of the Seeker got a second season too.

Being a good show seems to have little bearing on whether you get another season.

Don't even start me on those , I read Sword of Truth series back when the 3rd book just came out, and I have read and listened to the entire series a few times (Read Wizards First rule and Stone of Tears about 10 times each) Everytime a new book came out i would re read from the beginning. I watched half of the irst episode and gave up in disgust, especially after Sam Rami said how awesome the books were and he was a big fan, then took the pages and wiped his *** with em and used the only legible words to write that trash.

Sorry /rant off. Very touchy subject for me.

Eh, he said the same thing about Spider-Man, and if he wasn't Bruce Campbell's friend I'd probably hunt him down and break his kneecaps with an aluminum bat for the third movie alone.

[C] (Control) The Money of Soul and Possibility Control : Weird awesome, in a good way. Animation is passable but has a very odd feeling. Story is completely messed up as way to many things have gone unexplained but this is a definite watcher. It starts off showing kind of what the show will be about I think, Then pops to the main character, a boy from a poor family, putting himself through school in hopes of having a steady income in civil service only because he knows it will be his safe bet. He really likes this girl but shes rich and so far only sees him as a friend. He's offered a chance to take out a loan against his 'future' and become an Entrepreneur, Entre for short. Like I said it kind of leaves it very open atm.

Also has one of the best OP of the new season.

Also a Nice Background thanks to my wife and her fast screen grab/photoshop stuff.

Looking forward to watching Control, seemed to start off with an interesting concept. I liked the OP- not only does NICO Touches the Walls usually have good songs, the animation was great too. A big plus is that a full version of the song is already out there. My favorite this season has to be Gintama, though they've always had good opening and endings. God only Knows also had a good opening as well as a few others.

Other anime:
Hidan no Aria - The show seems to focus on two high school students, but not at any ordinary high school- they're actually training to be mercenaries/gunmen. The male protagonist wants to be an average person, but when aroused, he becomes seemingly invincible and an expert fighter. The other student is a girl who (I think) is the top student at the mercenary school. Seems like an average show, so will need to watch a few more episodes to have a better opinion.

Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko - Male high school student has to move to live with his aunt who lives alone, he is told. When he arrives, he meets a girl wrapped in a blanket/futon? who has an unusual personality and tendencies. So far the show is crazy and could be something worth watching.

Deadman Wonderland - @#%^ing Awesome. Story follows a student who witnesses the murder of 29 classmates and friends by a man in red with incredible powers only to be framed for everything. The court gives him the death sentence and is forced to live out his life at the corporate owned prison known as Deadman Wonderland- a giant circus using the inmates as its main attraction. In the last few minutes, we discover that if the prisoners don't eat special candy every 72 hours, they will be killed. No Exceptions.

One moment everything is sunshine and rainbows then the setting becomes one of the bloodiest scenes I've seen in televised anime. My favorite part involves a strange and incredibly innocent-sounding girl swinging metal pipes at her friend while calmly laughing "Ok, I'll kill you now ^^". As far as the plot- it kind of reminds me of Ergo Proxy without the mystery aspect.

This anime looks interesting and definitely worth watching. As far as unique/action shows go, this and Control are both great contenders with lots of possiblity.

Watched episode 1 of several animes in the last couple days.

Ones I Like Thus Far:
Deadman Wonderland
Blue Exorcist*

Ones I think have potential but need more episodes to confirm:
Nichijou
Stein's Gate
Hanasaku Iroha

Ones I'm probably going to end up disliking but will watch one more episode to be sure:
Oretachi ni Tsubasa wa Nai

*Didn't see a review/summary for this one so...
Blue Exorcist - Boy, raised by a priest alongside his twin brother, finds out he's the son of Satan. Bad things happen(priest dies) while Satan is trying to take the boy back to the realm of demons. Boy enlists with the organization the priest belongs to and becomes an exorcist. So far it doesn't necessarily seem like it'll be more than a basic shonen anime, but it was enjoyable to watch.

Hanasaku Iroha is definitely my favoerite this season, though I have a history of liking more.. girlyish shows with character development.

Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko is worth checking out. Pretty lolrandom and lulzy in the first episode. I haven't had much time to watch the 2nd episode, and I think the 3rd will be subbed tomorrow.

Nichijou was pretty good in the first couple episodes, then it kinda dropped off for me in the next two episodes.
Like I initially thought, it's good enough to keep watching, just probably not worth watching more than once.

Stein's Gate has me waiting for each new episode, so it's at least somewhat entertaining. Also, the main character's laugh is so awesome.

I tend to like those myself, so that's definitely a good sign. As long as it doesn't get too depressing, things will be good. And to be honest, that's the only reason why I didn't put it in the other category. It seems to have the potential to get rather depressing.

The Good
Hanasaku Iroha
Nichijou
The World God Only Knows
Gintama Simply mentioned because it had a long hiatus
Steins;Gate This one actually picks up at the end of the second episode
C
Deadman Wonderland
Ao no Exorcist

The Mediocre
SKET Dance
Yondemasu yo, Azazel-San
Hidan no Aria
Denpa Onna Weird is good
Ano Hi Mita Hana Follows the recipe to be a good show, will probably fail
Ore-Tachi Ni Tsubasa wa Nai This one might actually turn out to be pretty good

The Boring, Dull, and Awful
A Channel I wish I could move this up simply because it features the sound of grilling meat as a ring tone, but /yawn
Dog Days
Astarotte's Toy
Hen Zemi WTF is wrong with this show?!?
Battle Girls - Time Paradox

I've seen about 2-3 episodes of each (not sure why in some cases...) and there is no specific order to how I listed the shows. Anything that makes its way into the mediocre list tends to be entertaining in some way and is not necessarily a good show.

So this and next week are the last episodes (for 12/13 ep. series) Since they're coming to a close which Series have you watched , any which surprised you, any you dropped.

I've been dealing with IRL crap so Ive only been keeping up with 2 series.

C- Control which I really like the story and where its headed. Last few episodes are going to be big fight scene which there hasnt been much of. Lots of character development over action which I like.

Deadman Wonderland - I haven't watched ep. 9/10 yet but I got hooked on the manga which is close to ending. Definitely a few changes to shorten it but not so bad, I recommend this series to watch, and read. Its not the greatest series but deserves a good mention.

I will be downloading Stiens; Gate, Nichijou, and probably a few more for a anime weekend In a few weekends.

I like C near the beginning, it's kinda meh overall though.

A room mate watched the first episode of Deadman Wonderland, then dropped it, so I likely won't be downloading any of it.

Stein;s Gate is easily my favorite series this season, followed by Nichijou and Hanasaku Iroha.

Nothing too great this season, really. Entertaining at least.

Shows I really liked this season:
Nichijou
Stein's Gate
Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko - If you like characters with odd personalities, then this is for you.
Oretachi ni Tsubasa wa Nai
Hanasaku Iroha
Deadman Wonderland - Very intense show.

Shows I thought were only entertaining this season:
Yondemasu yo Azazel-san
[C] (Control) The Money of Soul and Possibility Control
Ao no Exorcist

Shows I thought were awful and dropped this season:
Hidan no Aria
A Channel
Hen Zemi

Nichijou was probably my favorite with Stein's Gate and Denpa Onna next. I did expect Control to be better than it was. I do like Deadman Wonderland even if the protagonist is a wimp.

Most of the anime I've been watching this season(which isn't much due to a fairly massive Babylon 5 binge I went on) has been season 2 of older shows or just older shows in general. That said, I've rather liked most of what I've watched.

Shows I've been more or less keeping up with
Hanasaka Iroha
Blue Exorcist
Deadman Wonderland
The World God Only Knows(season 2)
Gosick(started last season, probably considered season 2)

Shows I started and just haven't kept up with, but will watch eventually
Stein's Gate
Nichijou

Show I didn't like
Oretachi ni Tsubasa wa Nai
