Speculation from gg that had me slightly disappointed:

According to a post on the Madoka webpage, the broadcast of Madoka is suspended until further notice. They’ll update the webpage with the new schedule once they know it. Also, all of the BD/DVD have been pushed back a month.

People have been making some bad jokes about Walpurgis and the tsunami… Maybe there really is a big flood in eps 11/12 and now they have to re-animate?

Yeah, I suspected that myself. I really hope they didn't change the ending (regardless of the content), but I certainly understand if this was the case and they felt like it was a necessary step. All that matters is that the end is both fitting and excellent.

Both episodes have now been subbed by gg, and are up on the torrent sites.

I just got finished watching them, so let's hear some thoughts!

So, Madoka is Jesus. On Easter weekend. Getting that out of the way early. Oddly, that probably doesn't bother me as much as it might others; it's been done before, so this isn't some deus ex machina thing, which would have really pissed me off. I felt that they explained everything satisfactorily (not at first, mind you, but all my questions were answered eventually except maybe one). Overall, I'm pleased, though the ending didn't resolve itself as much as I would have liked, so for that reason I'm leaving this at a 9/10 until I do some more thinking (and maybe a rewatch). If I had two words to describe the whole series, I would say "profoundly sad". I got that feeling a lot, particularly in the last three episodes.

That's all I'll say for now until some more people share their thoughts. Looking forward to see if anyone agrees/disagrees with me.

I'll agree with your assessment. Not quite the ending I was hoping for, but not necessarily bad. 8.5/10 overall for the series.

I'd give it a 9/10, but not for the reason you'd think.

I found the plot, the character design, and the music to all be top notch. It was an interesting twist on Magical Girls and threw out the sunshine and rainbows model. Since the show focused more on emotional conflict, the action was much more limited, but I thought it was done well in such a way to not make the abilities and magic over used.

I actually liked the ending, though I'm tempted to check out the manga to see if it had a different one. I'm not really sure what I was expecting as a conclusion, but what I can say for certain is that the ending was well thought out (FIST OF COURAGE!) and that alone is valuable. I found that her wish was not only grand, but it still exemplified Madoka's qualities. The wish also wasn't so easy to grant since it required a huge sacrifice as well. Overall, I loved the show and while I have no clue what was going on in the last 30 seconds, I can only hope it's a hint of some sort of sequel (doubtful, but I can hope).

When I finished the show though, I found myself curious about the laws of the new world- guess I'll have to put my imagination to work.

I had one problem with the show and it's really the only reason I wouldn't give it 10/10: the animation. I liked the character designs and I loved how the world appeared, but every time there was a close up of someone's face, there were these thick lines outlining the shape. I don't know if they were actually going for that style, but to me it just looked like laziness. While this is a minor issue, it was there EVERY ******* TIME! It might be silly, but it really got to me after a while and so, because of the appearance of lazy animation, the show loses a point.

I ended up giving the show a 7/10 on MAL. It was sitting at 8 until I saw the last two episodes.

I agree with everyone else, that it was a nice twist on the Mahou shoujo anime, but I didn't particularly enjoy the ending. I feel like I've seen it before a few times. And not in a good way.

Madoka's wish was pretty awesome, and I felt like Kyubei wasn't a douchebag for once because of it.

Madoka's brother is still the best character imo.

lol.

It does make me curious if they changed the ending at all due to the disasters, and if so, what the original ending was. I know that was all simple speculation in the first place, but they did take an awfully long time to release the episodes compared to all the other series. Admittedly, I find it unlikely that they would have significantly altered the ending, even if they did change some of it. Still, it's a very curious "what if"...

Dunno how much they changed, but I doubt it would have made a difference for me.
It was still a good show, I just think a lot of people are overrating it.

Watched it all back to back and gave it a glorious 10/10. Music was awesome, which I found out later was because of yuki ******* kajiura. It was so screwed up that I loved every bit of it. Even the ending wasn't a 'good' end.

This isn't anything like one of my mahou shoujo animes. /Otacon
