Pretty funny thus far. Anyone else check it out already?

Basicness: SpoilerHe was killed by a serial killer. Then resurrected to become a zombie. And then he becomes a chainsaw wielding magical girl of some kind.

I'm convinced.

I watched the first two episodes on Crunchyroll. This show looks very promising, and I'm looking forward to more of it.

Watched this last night with a non-otaku friend. Conversation pieces from him included:

"Why do they show the girl's panties? Is it supposed to arouse the audience?"
"You called it a Pedobear. What's a Pedobear?"
"As a med student I don't like this. If he could hit something that hard, his muscles would explode."
"Ok, his arm broke. I like it now."
"WHAAAAT? So he's a tranny zombie?"
"Let's watch more episodes!"

You and I obviously have different senses of humor. A bad joke can be funnier than a good joke if done right.

So I just saw episode 6. Wow, the show just suddenly got hard core. To jump from a gag comedy right into a dark drama was incredibly jarring. Cliche plot? Sure, but a near perfect execution. Genuinely creepy.

After watching episode 11 I had to create a new tag in my anime list for this show: "bullsh*t."

I kept going back and forth on whether this show was just plain awful or so bad it's good, but it turns out it's both. Episode 11 is some of the stupidest bullsh*t I've ever seen in an anime, but then whales with school shirts start coming out of the megalo and suddenly "dammit I like this show again."

I really hate Vataro for making me watching this. He also forced me to watch Negima.

Negima's anime is pretty mediocre. The manga started out good (if you like harem comedies and fan service) and then became very stale.

Ken Akumetsu's best work was Love Hina

Oh @#%^, what an awful show... I just watched Negima?! recently thinking "It can't be that bad, it went 26 episodes and had a movie or two or something." @#%^ that sh*t. Just a little frustrated about watching that show. Hindsight, probably should have stopped watching it, but I have a tough time stopping mid-show.

On Zombie... I love the show simply because of how ridiculous it is even with the plot was lame. Plot ending was a big let down, yet the final episode was awesome/hilarious. I'd probably give the show an 8/10 for being so outrageous, imaginative, and having a weak story.

Still waiting on Madoka, but I'm fairy sure that'll come out on top as my favorite show this season.

That is a surprisingly accurate assessment. But I was a (mostly) big fan of Kenichi too, so it still works for me.

Yeah, I always reread the previous 1-2 chapters to refresh myself on what's going on.

I agree with every word of this (emphasis on the bolded part). Maybe a 7.5 instead of an 8 on zombie, but right around there certainly.

Only show I started and dropped this season was Level E. Besides being awful, the distribution of the show was strongly moderated. Any torrent or stream was dead within hours after being posted. I'm not about to work to watch awful anime. I'll give this 3/10... three is the number of episodes I watched and I applaud the show for creating the biggest troll I've ever seen... and now that I think about it, I bet the show was just animators trolling us. and yes, I know it's on Crunchy Roll, but I don't like them.

Other shows... I enjoyed Gosick, but I feel like they go over the top with this "Let me use my great well spring of knowledge to piece together this chaos for you." at which point she pulls out a pipe to smoke and snowflakes appear on the screen. Other than that, I liked the format of the show. Each arc started with a simple mystery that anyone can figure out, but then this leads to something more complex. Typically, I was able to figure out the answers to the mysteries before the girl pieced them together, though they weren't so easy as to be gotten immediately. Probably give this show a 7/10- better than a 6, but Zombie was better.

Merry started off strong, I thought, but then died off into this sea of doubt, hesitation, and nothingness. Animation and character design were probably its best aspects. The world that was created had a lot of potential and I wish it hadn't been squandered like it was. While something like doubt and hesitation can work well as conflict, in a short series such as this, since it took root at the start and has lasted over half the series, it made the show seem dull and drawn out. 5/10

I wanted to watch the show about the cross dressers, but never got to it. I might go back some day if it turned out well since the first episode had me interested.

Also, Level E is ok, I'll probably give it a 5. I'm not a big fan of the humour in the series, but it was entertaining at least.
I don't really see the "biggest troll ever" bit, honestly. The first couple of episodes were trolling, but I found them funny.

The final confrontation in Zombie pissed me off. I'm glad there was the final episode. I gave it a 7 on MAL.

I pretty much agree with this, though I haven't seen the "OVA"ish last episode yet. I ended up enjoying the show just as much as I suspected I would after the first episode.

That could almost be a good description for the show in general. It appears to be nothing special for a good portion of the viewing time(not saying bad, just nothing spectacular), then suddenly something crazy happens that completely makes it all worthwhile.

That part made sense and I was not confused about that. SpoilerI'm referring to after she killed the other zombie guy.

Wow. Usually I stay away from anime, but this is good. I'm three episodes in and I can't stop.

Help?
