Smiley: banghead As long as you don't read too seriously into these books, they're good for entertainment reading. But man, this last one, as entertaining it is to see how Dan Brown takes all these loose threaded conspiracies to weave a "plausible" theory, there's only so many secrets Robert Langdon can help solve. He's the Jack Bauer for super secret societies and like 24, you can only save the world or uncover a twisted plot so many times before it becomes cliched.

I regret picking up this book. But I started it so I have to finish it.

I was told that it's just as bad as all of the really bad Dan Brown knock off books.

I hated The Divinci Code, though, so there ya go. I got tired of being talked to like I was four years old.

Oh, it's pretty bad. But once I start a book, I have to finish it, otherwise it just bugs me. So I'm speed-reading as fast as I can so I can mentally check it off and dismiss it from my mind.

I'm kind of like this, though once I deem a book to be terrible enough to kind of skim through, I pretty much just read the sex and action scenes.

I'll be honest, I really enjoyed "Angels and Demons." "The Da Vinci Code" was ok, but not as good as A&D. The Lost Symbol was pretty poor.

The books were good, in my opinion.

I really enjoyed 'The Da Vinci Code', because I love conspiracy theories and stuff like that. 'Angels & Demons' was good as well, though slightly less thrilling. While 'The Lost Symbol' wasn't as good as the other two books, it was still good. And I really liked the message he brought forth in it. That we make our own heaven and all that.

'Digital Fortress' and 'Deception Point' were also good. Would really love to see the latter made into a movie. It's like 'X-Files vs The West Wing vs 24'. Political drama, sci-fi and against-the-clock thrills. Good stuff.

For me, the problem was as soon as I read about the dead son in the book, I knew that the dead soon faked his own death, was pissed off at his father and started a long climb towards vengeance.

I do have to admit that I like the conspiratheories that Brown provoked in A&D, DaVinci Code and Lost Symbol. If I only re-read the books, it would be to only outline all the theories and see how the Masons evolved his conspiratheories and the conflict of Church/Science.
