Surely you're not referring to the song for the teachers, right? Right?

That's the one! Didn't recognize it. I was in an a capella club in high school and we sang carols including some in Latin, but never that one.

Did you never watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas?

Maybe once, I was never a big fan of it, or Dr. Seuss in general Smiley: grin

I read the book, and saw the cartoon movie as a kid, but never saw the new one with Jim Carey. I "got" the storyline of the episode, I just didn't recognize the last song. Is that sung by the Whos?

Yes, it's the same song sung by the Whos that causes the Grinch to change his ways, like it did with Sue. And I was referring to the cartoon, not the Jim Carrey movie (which I have not seen either).

Ah, gotcha. I had assumed it was in Latin, not Whoish (or whatever the language would be Smiley: lol). Oh well, don't I feel silly Smiley: blush

The only thing I really have to say about this episode is that I'm incredibly disapopinted in Locke. His only saving grace is loving the Rudolph Christmas special.

Smiley: disappointed

Bah! Humbug! Smiley: bah

(I should mention I really liked the "Last Christmas" song, but I forgot to say it in my original post Smiley: nod)

Thinking back to the Christmas episode. We had themes from:

It's Christmas Charlie Brown (Finn says he found that sad looking tree on the side of the road, and goes on and on about not losing the xmas spirit).
The Grinch (self explanatory).
Miracle on 34th Street (Brittany and Santa and an impossible wish that comes true).
A little Rudolph (singing Island of Misfit Toys while trimming the tree).

Did I miss any more?

I know that, while watching it, I was vaguely aware of the themes, but didn't put them together until later. I feel silly. Smiley: blush

Haven't been any comments on the newer episodes, and with how amazing last week's episode was, I figured I'd bump this thread.

Was anyone else surprised by Santana expressing her love for Britney? I'm not surprised that she's more than likely gay, but I was surprised on some level that she's capable of that sort of emotion. >.> It was all really sweet though, and I felt bad for both of them when Britney said that she couldn't break up with Artie because it wouldn't be fair to him. Also, absolutely loved Gwyneth's sexy song at the beginning of the episode.
Necro Warning: This post occurred more than thirty days after the prior, and may be a necropost.

I will start off by saying that there needs to be so much more Gwyneth Paltrow in this show.

I don't think Santana is necessarily full-blown gay (I think she is bi), but she does have major feelings for Brit. To be honest, I figured Santana would get a moment like this eventually, I just didn't know when. She's way too much of a *****, and they try to balance out all of the mean characters (even Sue) sometimes. It was definitely a good moment, and I thought it "resolved" well. (Even though now Santana has every reason to ruin Brit's relationship with Artie.) Additionally, it's about damn time Emma admitted that she still has feelings for Will. I'm interested to see how that resolves (I would so prefer him to be with Gwyneth, but we know that can't happen. Smiley: frown

As for tonight's episode: Also very awesome. So much good humor, and the original songs were actually good. My one major complaint is that, as usual, Rachel sung mostly by herself and nobody else got a chance. I like Rachel's voice, but she sings EVERYTHING. Also, Sue PUNCHING THE GODDAMN ANNOUNCER IN THE FACE was hilarious and so unexpected. I was honestly surprised that Blaine and Kurt actually hooked up. I had just given up on that ever happening. Did love Kurt calling Blaine out for hogging the spotlight at the beginning though. Smiley: laugh Overall, I am very pleased. Definitely better than previous episodes this season.

I did not like Kurt and Blaine's duet. I thought their voices did not mesh together at all. However, both of the original songs performed at regionals were just awesome. The ones earlier in the episode not as much, but they weren't bad.

It ended pretty well, but I wasn't "wow!'ed" at all. I mean, they tied everything together, but... for some reason I'm kept wanting. Probably because I hate having to wait for the next episode Smiley: lol

I think that's because it wasn't a huge season-ending episode or anything. Regionals was more of a "we have to do this to get to nationals, so let's just get in and get it over with" thing, so I don't think the episode was meant to be a huge spectacle (unlike last season). I'm still eagerly awaiting next week's episode though.

Still needs moar Holly Holliday.

Is it? I hadn't heard that, but it very well could be.

Edit: after a little research, there is at least not a new episode next week, so you appear to be correct. Well boo.

Clearly you don't watch the previews for the next episode each week. It started with "Coming this April" after last night's episode.

To be fair, I wish I thought it was coming next week. I'm going to be grumpy with no Glee Smiley: glare

Edit: Reading the story on this episode on theblaze.com made it 100% better. People were up in arms as Kathy Griffith's tea party member portrayal, while completing not discrediting a single thing she stood for. Ah, hilarious Smiley: grin

Nope, never watch the previews. We have bowling league while it's airing live, so we download it afterwards to watch. (It cuts out the commercials, but also cuts out the previews.)

1) So glad I didn't go to the site.
2) I am totally unsurprised at their reaction.
3) Why on earth were you visiting that website?

Research for the Asylum. 90% of the things Varus talks about are usually covered in their blurbs Smiley: grin Sometimes I don't even know what he means, so I go there and to other sites and go "Ohhh... this is what the talking heads are saying."
