So... Mitsudomoe. Best anime of the season, thoughts, comments, disagreements?

Honestly though probably my favourite show this season, and probably one of the top 5 comedy anime I have seen. Every time I show someone an episode or two I see something new I didn't get the first time through. I have thoroughly enjoyed laughing my ass off pretty much the whole time.

I've fallen so far behind on contemporary anime that I'm not even sure what's showing this season. That said, I looked it up and it's labeled as comedy/slice-of-life--a genre which I've been very clear on my feelings for.

Mostly I just wanted to pee in your pool. Continue enjoying your show.

But Mitsudomoe is so ridiculous. And it doesn't feel like your usual slice-of-life series at all.

I'm gonna agree with Manosuke on this one.

Also, Futaba (red-haired one) is the best character of the series.

I didn't finish, thought it wasn't that great from the first couple episodes.

I thought maybe Vataro was unable to watch anything animated unless he wanted to screw the main female characters. Smiley: wink

Do you guys watch these series online?

They are older than they look, I think they are 11 or 12. Even the adults look like kids. Definitely aimed at an older audience despite the look of the characters.

I just torrent it watch the episodes my friends torrent every week.

Torrenting is really the way to go for watching anime. Higher quality video can almost never go wrong.

You can watch in HD on crunchyroll if you have premium. They have licenses for all the content so membership proceeds are shared with the studios. Of course they don't have everything so torrenting is the other option.

Mitsudomoe is definitely one of the best shows of this season. I found at times the humor would get a little repetitive and too... would immature be the right word? Aside from that occasional problem, I found this show very enjoyable.

There were some loli jokes, but I'd say most of them were somehow connected to breasts.

That requires money though... I torrent most of my new stuff as well unless I fall behind, then I'll find streams as it tends to be faster for me.

Obvioulsy. Someone needs to pay for something at some point or we wouldn't get anything.

I have nothing against downloading, I do it also. I was just mentioning that if you can afford it(6.95/month or 60/year) and want to support the people making anime, crunchyroll's a convenient way to do it.

Stupid question, I know, but what the heck is a crunchyroll besides sushi?

http://www.crunchyroll.com/

It used to be one of the many sites you could visit to watch illegal streams of anime. Later they went legit offering licensed anime and asian dramas, with a business model where week old streams are free, but to watch current episodes as they air you must subscribe.

It also represents an important experiment in the way anime is vended in the U.S.

Funimation has also started trying to sub (and dub) their shows and then put them online for free for legit streaming anime as well. The subs aren't bad and you usually have access to new shows in about an hour? after it is aired in Japan. Though I think they've started to stream all of their content through Hulu, which can get extremely annoying with commercials.

That's where I've been watching "Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu" and "Shiki" from this anime season.

www.tokyotosho.info torrent and watch. Way better video quality than streaming and there are way better sub groups (also worse ones but you figure out which to download)..

Also Hulu is U.S. only which kinda sucks for a lot of us.

They're running a preview/beta of a Hulu streaming service on the Playstation right now(more or less like streaming Netflix), and the commercials aren't too bad, until they show that stupid Geico one with the pig.

I hope that, if nothing else, they maintain enough of a subscription base that it sends the message to the anime companies that we here in America want our anime and we'd rather not wait for it.

Sorry, I should have been more specific. Typically, the main aspect that I enjoy in a Slice-of-Life type series is a strong romantic component, which would not be applicable where all the characters are 11-12.

My friend said that it was one of the more hilarious shows that he's watched. Apparently the misunderstandings that happen are the roots of the hilariousness. It's one of the anime that just finished or is finishing now that I plan to watch when I have some free time in between classes/homework.
