So, a few weeks ago I was sitting around one weekend trying to find something to do. Stargate Universe and Merlin were having marathon runs of their first seasons before the new seasons began. I watched most of them.
So I started watching both of them on Friday night. I find myself liking both of them. Which is good, because Friday nights had very little in terms of new shows to watch.
I noticed a few Stargate Universe topics in the OOT, and they seemed to be pretty negative overall. Is anyone watching, and liking, this series?

Have watched every single episode since the show was introduced. I am very open minded and eclectic in nature so I absolutely love the series, it's something different and not really rehashed. The first season you got to learn about everyone's background and how it affects them. I can only imagine what direction this second season will go in. Hopefully better than the first season as it should be. Guess we will see. I have NOT seen Merlin, how is it?
There are a few annoying aspects and plot inconsistancies to it, but it has a giant *** spaceship which is moderatly cool, so I can forgive alot of that.
Plot holes that are annoying me:
The stargate needed to reach the spaceship initially was some sort of mega supergate, but the ones the ships are apperently manufacturing and spewing in front of destiny are "more primative" than the origionals in earth galaxy? The giant spaceship which supposedly launched before the ancient people had all the trouble with the replicator thingies that put them off of robots has absolutly no self repair and maintenance capacity, despite being designed to travel unattended for huuuge periods of time through potential hostile territory? Where are the astromech droids??? They have flying robot camera thingies but no flying robot repair thingies? yeah right.

Maybe they will discover the repair capabilities once Rush unlocks the controls and they explore the rest of the ship?
I am interested in the last few episodes though, with Eli and the other two being stranded on the planet and now that the ship is jumping galaxies. I was kind of caught off guard that their last dial in to the ship missed because Rush's team had the gate open. I was really expecting it to be the usual "saved in the nick of time" type ending.

Eh, next thing you know is they'll introduce some sort of OMG we have a traitor aboard who is blowing up our hyperdrives!!!one one11 emergancy and won't be able to fix it because of those missing astromech droids.

Yes, it's airing here. Last week's episode I think was the fifth episode the Troll tricked Uther into marrying her, and Merlin failed to stop the wedding.

Tonight they are airing 1 of 2 shows for the season finale. Looking to be pretty good honestly from the previews I have seen. Hopefully it's not as predictable as it is sounding to be but regardless I cannot wait to see the show in one hour and 15 minutes. Or 9pm Eastern for those who don't know.

Second part of the season finale was tonight, already finished; re-airs at 11pm EDT. What an ending! So much stuff happened at the end! And during this show. Can't wait until Season 2 in October. Season 2 preview will be on Syfy's website at 1am EDT. There was a chat as well with TJ and Greer from the series tonight, last week was TJ and Lt. Scott. Hope everyone else who enjoys the series loved the season finale, see you in October.
